As the brunette rolled out of bed and got ready, he suddenly felt like he wanted to change up his routine for the day. The brunette grabbed his keys, wallet, glasses, phone and his laptop, got into his car and drove to a new coffee shop that had recently opened in his area.

Oikawa sighed a still tired breath, he noticed he was nearing his destination. Once he had finally arrived, he felt relaxed by the warmth of the repurposed wood  against the white bricks and the enveloping vines tied together with fairy lights scattered across the exposed rafters above of him.

Before the brunette could walk upto the main counter and order anything, one of the barista's had approached him. "Hello, Welcome to The Coffee B-" The Barista was cut off by one of their co-workers. "Oikawa?! Is that you dude?" The Brunette noticed the familiar voice, it was his Highschool best friend and former volleyball teammate Hanamaki.

Hanamaki approached Oikawa, almost shocked. "I thought you moved to Argentina for College dude!" Hanamaki joked. "I did, but that was until I finished college haha." Oikawa laughed.

"So, you here for good?" Hanamaki asked. "Yep! I found a stable job, bought a house. I'm pretty much set for life now." Oikawa stated with a chuckle.

"Well it was great seeing you but I have to get back to work, I'm on cleaning duty so I'll get someone else take your order." Hanamaki said whilst pulling Oikawa into a hug. "Iwaizumi! Go to the register!" Hanamaki shouted as he walked back to the kitchen.

An attractive dark haired male walked out of the kitchen, his name tag read: Iwaizumi. He was slightly shorter than Oikawa but was very well built. "Hello, Welcome to the coffee barn. What can I get for you today?" Iwaizumi sighed sounding far from enthusiastic.

Oikawa stared at the beautiful man in front of his eyes and lost his train of thought. Iwaizumi waved a hand in front of Oikawa's face, trying to regain his attention. Soon enough, Oikawa's head returned from the clouds. "Hello? Are you alright?" Iwaizumi asked, beginning to develop concern.

"Hm? Oh sorry." Oikawa replied once he had realised what had happened. "What would you like to order?" Iwaizumi questioned. "Hm.. Could I get a Gingerbread latte please?" Oikawa asked while fishing his hand into his wallet to retrieve his credit card. "Sure thing, Can I get you anything else today?" Iwaizumi queried, as he jotted down the order on his tablet. "No thank you, that's it." Oikawa proclaimed.

"Okay, that'll be $4.50. Would you like to pay by cash or card?" Iwaizumi enquired. "Card." Oikawa responded, while handing his credit card to the barista. "Alright, your coffee will be ready in around 10 minutes. Could I get a name for your order please?" Iwaizumi noted as the card processed his payment. "Toru." Oikawa said in response.

"Righto, Feel free to take a seat." Iwaizumi said. "Thank you." Oikawa said as he took his card back and walked to a stool by the window.

Oikawa grabbed his laptop out of his bag and placed it in front of him, within a short matter of time. His name was called out, He walked over to the counter and sneakily glanced at Iwaizumi whilst retrieving his latte. "Thank you."

Working away on his laptop, Oikawa had hardly realised the time. He checked the bottom right corner of his screen. The time read 17:15 {5:15PM}, He looked around in the almost empty shop. It was near closing time and the barista's were wrapping up their shifts.

With a tap on Oikawa's shoulder, he turned. "Hey man, you gotta go home. We're about to close." The barista put across in a friendly way. "Oh, alright. Thank you for my coffee." Oikawa said while packing up his stuff. "Feel free to come by anytime from 8:30am to 5:20pm." Iwaizumi added on while continuing to clean the tables.

"I sure will!" Oikawa said with a warm smile. He picked up his bag and left to go home.

As he was nearing home, he realised that he had forgotten his phone at the coffee shop. "FUCK HOW DID I FORGET MY PHONE OF ALL THINGS!" He shouted. "SHIT NOW I CAN'T EVEN GO BACK BECAUSE THEY'RE CLOSED!" Oikawa yelled as he checked the time on his car radio.

Oikawa pulled into his driveway, headed to the front door and fished a hand into his bag to pull out his keys. Unlocking his door he stepped in and placed his bag on a table by the door.

Little footsteps come trotting down the hall as his dog Kyo ran to him. "Hey there buddy." Oikawa whispered while leaning down and patting Kyo.

"You hungry bud?" Oikawa asked as if he would get a reply, but all he was left with was a wag of Kyo's tail. "Let's get you some food." Oikawa said while making his way towards his kitchen.

After placing a variety of healthy food into the bowl, he set it aside and gave Kyo his practiced commands. He grabbed something from the fridge, sat down at the counter and ate. After Oikawa had finished eating and cleaning up, He walked upstairs, took a long shower then went to bed.

As the sun shone through the window, Oikawa slowly opened his eyes and turned towards the other side of his room. "What time is it?" He yawned and looked over at his alarm clock. {06:08} He groaned and pushed his head into his pillow attempting to go back to sleep. No luck.

With that he jumped out of bed, walked into his bathroom and splashed his face with water. Kyo ran upstairs and greeted Oikawa with a wag of his tail. "Morning buddy." Oikawa said as he reached for a towel to dry off the excess water from his face.

Kyo followed Oikawa as he walked downstairs to grab his laptop then into his office. He opened the manuscript to his new book and began tweaking it and revising. He had put his heart and soul into this book. Why did it feel like something was missing..

Around 2 hours later Oikawa checked the time in the corner of his screen and opened a new tab on google. He typed in 'The Coffee Barn Cafe' into the search bar. It wasn't open yet but it would be by the time he got there, So he packed his stuff into his bag, walked out the door and hopped into his car.

After about 10 minutes of driving he finally arrived. He walked upto the door and entered. "Morning." He heard a familiar voice. Iwaizumi's voice to be exact. He turned his head towards the voice and there he was, Standing behind the counter setting up shop for the day. "Morning." Oikawa replied. It was still empty. Only Iwaizumi and Oikawa were there.

"I believe you left something here yesterday?" Iwaizumi asked as he walked into the backroom and retrieved Oikawa's phone. "Ah yeah." Oikawa answered as Iwaizumi walked back out, Phone in hand. "Thank you." Oikawa said, taking his phone back. "You should really keep an eye on your belongings." Iwaizumi laughed.

A moment later Iwaizumi spoke.

"Coffee for one?"
