Darkness. There wasn't anything out here except me and this dark empty space. There was absolute silence despite my best efforts to shout out, "Hello?" if there was even anyone else here. I couldn't speak in this abyss of
All of a sudden, I feel this aching sensation in my chest as if it's being ripped open. The pain was unbearable, like a spear piercing through me over and over. I screamed in pain, but to no avail, it's as if I lost my voice.
A short while later, I started hearing a voice, no, it was two voices, it became three, now four, five, little by little, the voices started stacking up. A mixture of screaming, roaring, whispering, a thousand voices echoed through my head.
Why am I hearing these voices? What is this pain? What is happening to me? I'm slowly losing it, I kept crying out without a voice. This is insanity.
I tried to move, I tried to shake myself free, but it felt as if my whole body was bound to a wall, it was really heavy. Stiff as a statue, I floated around the solitary confines of this darkness hearing voices I shouldn't be hearing, suffering this endless pain I shouldn't be suffering, and bound by the shackles of whatever it is that's preventing me from moving.
"STOP IT! PLEASE! STOP!"
It's killing me, I can't endure this, my body and my mind are being driven mad. I want it to stop, I want it to end, I want to die just for all of this to stop, just so I could be free.
"ENDURE IT!", a voice commanded. It was more prominent than the voices in my head. Is someone here? Am I not alone? If so, please, please free me from whatever is happening to me, I cannot bear the pain any longer.
"PROVE YOURSELF! ENDURE!", the voice bellowed. Nonsense. Endure this? Prove myself? What's even there to prove? I just want to go; I just want to be free of this torture.
As I kept trying to scream, a pair of blood red eyes the size of the moon opened up in front of me out of the abyss, gazing upon my pained and suffering body. This wasn't happening, I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
"FIGHT IT! ENDURE THE PAIN! EMBRACE IT!", the voice echoed.
The pain started to intensify all the more as if it's being multiplied little by little. My chest feels as if it's completely ripped apart, but is still being ripped open, the voices were horrific, sounds of people dying, begging for mercy, voices of killers, evil men, blood spilling out.
"THIS PAIN IS YOURS UNTIL THE VERY END! EMBRACE DARKNESS!"
No more. My vision slowly became hazy, I was screaming at the top of my lungs despite having no voice.
"ENDURE IT! EMBRACE IT!"
No more! This needs to stop, I'm breaking apart, the pain is tearing me apart.
"EMBRACE THE DARKNESS!"
No more! Please. Please. Stop it. I'm nearing my limit, just a bit more, a little bit more. I can feel how close my body is to breaking apart.
"SON OF ERUBOS! EMBRACE OSCURITA!"
NO MORE!
Opening my eyes, I gasped for breath, blinking rapidly, breathing in the fresh air. I looked around, it wasn't dark, and I was obviously not floating around neither. I'm a bit glad that I'm inside the confines of my room now. A window to my left, my desk at my right piled with books and paper with all my writing, above is a ceiling fan as well as the air conditioning, and below me, a solid carpeted metal floor. Everything's normal, or so I thought.
