I look out the window as the plane starts landing in what is now my new home. I decided to move here to be closer to my best friend Jack. We've been friends since middle school and he moved here to Vancouver with his family the start of sophomore year. Ever since, we made a promise once I turn 18 I will move in with him in his apartment.

The plane lands and I turn my phone off of airplane mode. My phone goes crazy with message after message from Jack.

Flap Jack 🥞

Jack: Y/n??? you off the plane yet? 1:00 pm

Jack: Dude I hope you didn't die 1:16 pm

Jack: This is literally the longest 2 hour flight EVER 2:03 pm

Jack: I hope your ready for my strong ass hug, I might break your bones 💀💀 3:08 pm

Y/n: Dude I hope you know when you asked if I was off the flight my plane just took off -_- 3:36 pm

Jack: YAYYY YOU'RE ALIVE 3:38 pm

Jack: I'm at baggage claim waiting for you :) 3:39 pm

Jack: btw I have someone you gotta meet ;) 3:40 pm

Y/n: betttt I'm omw to baggage claim 3:42 pm

I head my way to baggage claim and as I arrive I see jack with my suitcase. Jack looks my way and drops everything and runs to me. He smothers me with a strong tight hug. "jackkkkk your crushing meee" "Sorryyy I missed you dudee, the last time I saw you you had braces"

"yeah yeah I know" we walk down to the parking garage and we get to Jack's car and as I open the backseat door I notice there's a short girl with curly dark hair sitting in the front seat. She turns around and looks at me with a smile. "Hi!! omg Jack has told me so much about you!!" "Hi! um who are you?" "Oh! sorry My name is Cylia, I'm jack's girlfriend." "It's alright and oh, jack never mentioned anything about a girlfriend- but my name is y/n" Cylia looks at jack confused and jack quickly speaks up. "Sorry babe!! I wanted to wait until she was here for you guys to meet, but yeah y/n this is who I wanted you to meet"

"Damn jack I can't believe you never told me about her she's so pretty!" Jack's cheeks get red and Cylia looks over at him and kisses his cheek. "So uh y/n, do you have your drivers licenses yet?" says jack still red as a tomato. "Nope actually, I still got my permit." "DUDE! I told you a million times to get it before you moved in" y/n rolls her eyes and laughs a little "Yeah yeah I know i just never had the time, it's not like I'm gonna die without it tho" Jack pulls up to the parking lot of the apartment building and parks "yeah but still y/n you're gonna need it soon enough"
