Ch.2 Let them eat cake

His wonder increased when she held up one of her tiny fingers and addressed him in these words: ' What would you think if I were to send my husband to uncover your house? You mortals think that you can do anything that please you."

Then, stamping her tiny foot, she added in a voice of command, "Put back that turf at once, or you shall regret this day."

Devroop had already started to walk her home but it was his first time walking with all of them , he usually went home , found her then she went home.

They had shown Osira round the town , it was quite modern , not too behind the times , its sleek brick buildings, different buildings were an entire rainbow of colors . some of their windows seemed to be made out of prisms, her calico colored eyes looked at them in wonder. There was the old buildings , made of stone and then there was newer buildings the wizards shop had a bit more upkeep nicer lawns , and a touch of class with their buildings hosting an array of signs that read slogans , and list of their magic items , like the Darkin police station it was quite a family business you see , a bunch of people from Devroop's family joined the police, they practically lived in the station at times , and the worst part , Devroop's dad is the chief of police.

There was a plaza where musicians and teens alike played music. It was Devroop's first time walking Jason,Koi,and Prim home; we usually took this route through the plaza.

Devroop's dad was a stick in the mud , she remembered how that man sat in his chair judging her when they had unofficially met when she returned a lost dog to the station, Devroop was right on her tail warning her as discreetly as he could.

The bastard was mean as a snake too , from what she had seen, Osira had learned the word from Devroop ,he uses the word a lot , especially to her friend Jason .He made her swear not to tell her mother , apparently it wasn't too nice to say it .

So it was official Jason always tagged along when she hung out with Devroop , Jason didn't trust him at all, but she didn't trust him completely .

But it's been a year now , and he has the same dead charm as before , brooding, blood thirsty , always trying to pick a fight, and he had a weird way of doing it so he goaded people into doing it subtly , taunting Osira , or other kids.

In other words he didn't want to be fully responsible for the fight , he wanted the other guy to take the first swing, the more Osira noticed that he just really liked the adrenaline from the spars , his eyes lit up , his cocky attitude , made him look like a peacock , strutting to the fight , with grace . For Osira turning 11 is a more improved version of herself , her legs have more reach now and she can kick harder , her training has paid off.

So when Osira was sick of it, when she had enough , of him picking on those who didn't know how to fight against him . she would pull on his ears , or she would try out the new spell she learned , all while apologizing for her friends arrogance ,and behavior. Or Osira showed him what her new legs could do right in the stomach. By the time she's 11 ,she'll be invited to a party, so much time flies by when your young and just want to have fun,

Jason was a damn ray of sunshine grinning and dancing , Prim liked to dance along with the music in the plaza Teens with boom boxes , or stereos blasting their music in the square downtown. There were performing musicians , with violins , and a floating orchestra behind them . There was an array of different music , all pretty sounds crashing out into the plaza.

"I've never been here before "Devroop mutters, staring shockingly to the plaza , wonder and surprise surround him as he stares openly trying to take in all the sights. Osira folks and I want you to come to dinner, he hands me a notebook paper , with all the info , the address , what's on the menu ,the words 'Strawberry dessert ' is the final nail in the coffin .
