12:58 pm. 2 more minutes. Clay loved recording with George. It felt more private than just being on a call with him. Their friends knew they would be recording, and wouldn't just jump in the call with them. It felt better, it felt right.

He stared at discord, his right leg bouncing slightly in anticipation. 12:59 pm. George was always on time when it came to recording videos. Never early, never late. If he wanted to record, he would do it at a specific time. The minute felt long, but the second the time changed to 1:00 pm, the call came through his computer.

A smile formed on his face as he answered. "Right on time," He said, adjusting his mic.

"Of course, I always am for recording. I sent you the server IP, let's get it started" Rushed, but not fearful. Excited. Clay smiled and loaded up Minecraft. Soon, the server loaded in for him, and George's character stood in front of him.

"What plugin is this again?" Clay adjusted his chair, prepping for the hours of recording they would be doing.

"Blocks attack us after we hit them," George prepared his recording equipment and began. Clay stayed quiet during his intro, knowing not to disturb him too much yet. Once he finished his intro, Clay started talking about the game.

"Okay are we ready?" Clay bounced happily in his seat.

"I think so. Okay I'll run the plugin," He heard George typing away, thus starting the code.

Clay moved to a block and hit it, instantly causing the block to fly toward him slowly and hit him back. "Oh god! Why does wood do 2 hearts of damage!" He spam clicked the block as George ran over to help him kill it.

"All of that for one block?" George groaned while Clay let out a wheeze.

"This is gonna take so long,"

Hours pass. Hours of constant jokes, dying, and slightly flirtatious remarks by Clay. He felt at ease, and happy. After both of them finally killed the dragon, George stopped the recording. "Oh my god that took 5 hours!"

Clay let out a laugh and leaned back in his chair. "That's gonna be fun for you to edit" He stared at discord yet again. The light emitting from the screen felt warm. The comfort he felt when seeing George's name pop up on screen made him feel safe.

"I'll do that sometime this week. I think I'm gonna do a speedrun stream tonight, if you and Sapnap want to join me on call for it,"

"Ambitious today aren't we?" He smirked, loving how easily they could joke with each other. George's laugh echos through his headset yet again, lightening Clay's heart. "Of course i'll be there, just let me know once you go live"

"Thank you!" He could hear George's smile while he talked. His voice was very expressive. Not a high pitch, yet not as deep as his own. Always went a little higher if nervous, giddy, or excited. Always went a little deeper if serious, anxious, or stressed. Certain other changes in tone from George were easily noticeable as well. Talking a little bit slower, flustered usually. Maybe Clay just read too much into George, but he still likely being able to tell this much about him.

"You seem really happy," The smile on Clay's face hurt his cheeks. He couldn't help but match George's emotions.

"Well I always am when I'm talking to you" Clay's face heated up more than it already was. "I'm going to end the call, just so I can set up my stream in peace"

"Are you saying that I distract you?" Clay's smile changed into a smirk.

"Shut uppp!" A little slower, yet higher pitched then usual. Flustered and happy. Clay eased back into his seat.
