001 - THOSE WHO STAYED

"I did say I'm fine, right. I'm not suicidal, Vein. Cut it out." You furrowed your eyebrows. "Since when were you paranoid?" You added before you end the call.

That was your older brother, Vein. Simula nang malaman niya ang tungkol sa pagde-date ni Baekhyun at Taeyeon ay wala na siyang ibang ginawa kundi ang tawagan at kulitin ka. He kept on insisting that you're not okay and he kept on checking you from time to time as if you'd do something stupid. Of course, You appreciate his actions. That simply means he's concerned with his little sister. But you know, people getting too pushy is a bad thing to you. It's giving you war flashbacks and at the moment, you don't want to expose yourself to those kind of people anymore.

Can't they just leave you alone with your freedom to decide what's best for you and what's not?

Nilagay mo sa bulsa mo ang cellphone mo at nanatili kang naka-upo. It's still lunch break and you decided to stay in your classroom and be alone. Pero syempre, inaasahan mo nang may susugod sa'yo. Sanay ka na eh. Sanay ka na at sawang-sawa ka na.

You let out a sigh, "Just go."

"Just what?" She nearly yelled, but soon lowered down her voice probably worried she might catch the attention of the students outside. "You really are useless, Raffy Liu."

You nodded slowly, giving her an unbothered expression but she seems dense enough to notice. "Yeah, sure. Useless, it is. Seriously ㅡ just go." You mumbled.

Mahahalata mo ang inis sa mukha ng babae. Tinignan mo siya gamit ang walang emosyon mong mata, pagkatapos ay bumuntong-hininga ka. "Fine. Go on and spit it out, if it pleases you. Just make it quick."

You were amused because she really went on. "Ang lakas din ng loob mo, Raffy, ano? Ikaw pa yung may ganang umalis? Hindi lang naman ikaw yung nasaktan eh! Tapos kung maka-asta ka, akala mo, ikaw lang yung trinaydor ni Baekhyun!" She snapped. Dinuro-duro ka niya habang nagsasalita siya.

Tinitigan mo ang hintuturo niya na dumuduro sa'yo. If you weren't heartbroken right now, you would've taken a strong grip on that annoying little finger pointed at you. But now, you're gonna let it pass. Mula sa naka-duro na daliri niya sa'yo ay umangat ang tingin mo patungo sa mga mata niya.

You stared at her for a minute and let her do the honor of taunting you.

"Raffy, buong fandom naman apektado. And you being immature is not helping at all!"

You blinked once, then twice. Slowly then, you formed a sly smile on your face. "Sure, I left," you muttered, raising a brow before you continue, "at least I never thought that what he did was betrayal."

Napa-atras siya sa sinabi mo. As if she just realised that she called Baekhyun a traitor, though indirectly.

Sasagot pa sana siya pero inunahan mo na siya, "ㅡAnd if silence is immature, then what do you call about that tantrum?" You asked, pertaining about her sudden outburst a while ago.
