TW// Mentions of death. Read with caution

:Sal's PoV:

"Sal, come on dude, hurry!" Larry shouts. "Bro, I'm right here, chill." I respond. Larry leads outside, it's very bright but eventually your eyes adjust to the winter afternoon lighting; it's a tree house right behind Addison Apartments. "You first Sally." Because the ladder doesn't look all too sturdy. I begin climbing with caution. I climb into a small space, it's not too small but it's also not too big. It's very neatly organized and a tiny bit of snow got in. Larry snaps me out of my thoughts, "I usually come up here when I need to relax or get my mind off things." Since I was wandering around in my head for a little, Larry's statement scared me. "Jeez dude, you scared me." I admitted. "Oh, I'm sorry bro." Near the end of his apology his voice begins fading, like and echo. I turn around and see that Larry looks unusual. "L-Larry?" My voice us shaky and behind the mask I'm wearing, I have a petrified look on my face. I start to back away from the forbidden figure, "Larry w-what hap-" I get cut off by a deep inhale and exhale from Larry. "Sal, I'm dead.." His eyes, watery from all the worries, all the voices that followed him to the treehouse. My vision goes blurry from the watery droplets in my eyes. "No no no no I...I don't understand." I crouched down on my knees and begin sobbing into my hands. Larry walks over to me and takes my mask off. "Don't cry s-" I jump onto him and wrapped my arms around his waist. (Because he short asf lmao I'm sorry not sorry.) I felt arms wrap around my shoulders. It was silent, not completely silent because of the soft sniffles coming from the both of us. Hugging Larry felt nice. It's weird how I can hug ghosts but I didn't care too much. He finally pulled away but I didn't want to let go. His touch made me feel so safe, so...secure. I looked up at him, my eyes puffy, my ruined face stained with tears. He started smiling at me and placed his hand on my cheek, it felt weird for a bit but then I got used to it. His hand was soft, a bit cold because the walls of the treehouse were thin. He moved a bit closer, he stares at me, his eyes wander my face and then back into my eyes. I look into his eyes also, deep brown and beautiful. He places his thumb on my lips, "Can I?" I nodded hesitantly. He moved closer and closed the gap between us. A kiss. I didn't think Larry like me that way. His lips were soft, like really soft.. I loved it. My eyes were open looking at his expression, he was so calm, so at peace, I closed my eyes and eventually sunk into the kiss. The kiss wasn't short but it wasn't long either. We pulled away and just stared at each other. His hand still placed on my cheek. I leaned my head onto his hand and grabbed his sleeve covered wrist. He chuckled at my action. I smiled, "What are you laughing at chuckles?" "You, Sal." He pulled me into another hug. "I bet you never thought you would kiss a ghost, huh?" He questioned. I nodded in agreement, "Yeah." A short giggle escaping my lips. "Sal..?" I look up to him with a curious look on my face. "I love you so much and I always have." I started smiling widely, "I love you too Larry."
