The Alpha and his Hybrid

Prologue

21 years ago......
(Third party point of view)

"We must hurry! She is waiting for us outside" my husband says to me while he is panting.

"Just give me a minute" I tell him. I look down at my beautiful baby girl sleeping soundly in her sleep. I gently pick her up and wrap her around her pink blanket.

"We don't have much time. She will be here soon!" He says as he places his hand on my back and guides me downstairs and into the backyard.

Standing there was the Oracle. She is able to see into the future and know what will happen before it even happens. The Oracle told us a month before my baby was born that she is in great danger. Someone is after my unborn child. The Oracle told us that once my baby is born, a spell will be placed on her.......making her become a monster that everyone fears of having.

"You're just in time. I must take the child now! I can feel his presence" the Oracle tells us.

I start to have second thoughts on this. I can't be separated from my baby. She is only a week old! She needs her mother. I can feel tears built up in my eyes as my bottom lip starts to tremble.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" I asked as I have second thoughts.

"I'm positive Melanie. It's the only way she is safe. Hades already planted the curse on her. It will only be a matter of time before he finds her. If you want your daughter to be safe.....you will have to do what I'm telling you to do" The Oracle told us.

"And now isn't the time to have second thoughts. It is now or never" she tells us.

"Listen to her honey......I promise we will be reunited with our baby girl soon" my husband tells me as he places a hand on my shoulder.

I look down at my one week old daughter. She is very tiny and wrapped around in a pink blanket. She had her eyes closed and started to smile. I felt a tear stream down my face and I held her hand with my finger. I have to do this. This is the only way......this is the only way she will be protected........

"It's time" the oracle says to me.

I look over at her and look back at my baby girl. I see her flutter open her eyelids and her beautiful hazel brown eyes are looking into mine. I kiss her forehead and whispered lightly to her.....

"I love you mi amor. I promise you that we won't stay separated forever. I will find you again. You will always be my Phoenix" I tell her.

She starts to get fussy and I immediately give her to the Oracle before I break down and take her back. The Oracle looks over at me and smiles at me.

"I promise you when this is all over, you will have your daughter back your highness".

I hear my daughter start crying very loudly. I try to run up to her and hold her back into my arms, but my husband stops me. I see the Oracle begin to walk into the forest and disappear into the night with my baby girl......and it was from that moment on......the biggest fear I had came to life.......I never saw my daughter ever again.........
