Prologue

Emma pov

As we are running from the giant demon, we came to the board fence with a field with the sun up. And there are big animals that had spot black spot all over its body, it looks like a cow from the book. Also, wood fences going around in a square with animals inside, it looks like the animal pent in the book too, where other humans keep all the animal that they are going to eat later in the stories. We heard the giant demon whimper, all of us look back and see that the demon is trying to walk out. But, it was getting burnt on the foot by a white line on the ground, that it looks like the line goes around the forest, So the demons back up, turn, and left them alone. We all left out long sighs. We look back ahead and started walking and as we got far into the field, we see a little house, It was small than The Grace Field house, and a barn that was in the books. We ran to the small house and knocked on the door of the house. The door opens.

"Hello," said an old lady that came out the door, look around.

"Hey," I said and she looked down and she looked shocked.

"Oh my gosh, what are you little kids doing in here and how many are you there"

"There are 16 of us, (is that right and I'm just adding one more kid to the group) we...Uhm...." I said think of a lie "we got can of lost and we don't any have a family except for each other." I smiled.

"I'm going to call someone, so y'all can get to a safe orphanage." The old lady smiled. "While I'm doing that you can inside and sit in my living room."

I nodded as I walk in with carol in my hand and the lady ran to the back of the house. Yes, decided to take one of the babies with us. We walk inside the house and sit on the floor and the couch.

The lady come back and said, "that we are going to have to stay here for one day then y'all are going to a different Continent."

"What is a Continent," I asked, confused.

"It means different land plot that cross the world, idiot," ray said

"already then we have to wait until tomorrow" I turn toward the lady and said, "can I get some blankets that we can sleep with at night?" She smiled and nodded.

She goes upstairs, grabs some blankets, comes back down, and hands the blanket to us. we played a hand game and took care of coral with us sitting on top of the blankets that we lap down on the ground until sundown. And we take off the book bags that we happened our supplies in. then, the lady made us a really good dinner, Also, we told her our name and she told us her name too, then we went to sleep. I and ray wake up around 5:00, ray said it was around five, because we heard a knock. I get up, give coral to ray and walk upstairs to the lady to wake the lady up. I shake her awake.

"Mrs. Rose, someone is at the door," I said

"ok, Emma," she said get up and smiled. We go down the stair and Mrs. Rose open the door.

"Hey, Mom I'm here to pick up the kids you said that are here." I look at him. Wow, I never see a grown man before.

"Oh, yes, these are the kids, but some of them are still asleep. so, you have to wait they are awake." she pointed at the kids "You know I miss when you and your sister were kids. Y'all used to be the most adorable kids ever" she walking inside with her son. Her son chuckles then he frowns. "Hey, mom how are you handling dad death. Are you doing ok." (This is me just want to add personality to my side character) "yeah, I'm fine honey" I tune them out and talk to ray because that conversation is none of my concern and ray give me coral back. We wait until 6:00 because that's the time that we all wake up at the Grace Field House except the babies.
