NOTHING EVER WORKS OUT FOR Paola Sommers

NOTHING EVER WORKS OUT FOR Paola Sommers. The ever so pessimistic cloud that looms over her head every day remains unseen by everyone, but Paola knows its there. She knows its there because she feels the overbearing load of it every time she wakes up in the morning. She likes to ignore the fact that her withering luck in life is wasting away as she carries the weight of what seems to be  the whole world on her shoulders, refusing help from everyone that cares for her along the way. And she carries the weight because she thinks she has nothing better to do in life. After all, her dreams of a career in Herbology had been crushed as soon as her sister's husband was hit with the killing curse during the second Wizarding War. Her and her brother-in-law had been close, he was quite frankly more of a family member to her then her own sister— of course, it wasn't anyone's fault that the two girls just had nothing in common when they were younger. Naturally, she took on the the responsibility of inheriting the bookstore he owned in Diagon Alley—because she just loved to burden herself with more piles of shit to distract her from her own grieving. So now, having completely dropped her dreams to take on owning and managing a quaint little store that she didn't want, it was quite obvious things just didn't like going her way in life.

THE THING IS, FIVE YEARS LATER, SHE NOW ACCEPTS THE PRECIOUS BURDENS WITH OPEN ARMS. Because she'd do anything to distract herself from the trauma that tries to claw viciously through her chest everyday. Babysitting her niece when her distraught and widowed sister needs a fucking break? She's there. Doing ten times more taxes than she's supposed to be doing because her brother-in-law failed to mention that the bookstore was buried in dept? She's there, using almost all of her inheritance to dredge her sisters one true love's memory out of muddy waters. So, when Angelina Johnson comes into the shop one day asking a huge favour from the former Hufflepuff, said favour having to do with faking a relationship with George Weasley to convince his family he is in a competent state of mind? She's there.... Albeit reluctantly, but she's there, right?
