Iris

"Iris I swear nothing happened! That women and I are only colleagues, that's it. We went out for dinner to discuss business. There's really no need to go to your mother about this." My father says looking calm. I know he's lying, I can tell. I can always tell. I can see it in his face.

This is my curse... I can always tell when someone is lying, simply by looking at their face. It's like my eyes catch the small tell tales when someones lying. Like when the hallow of there throat deepens, or the bead of sweat that falls from their foreheads. Why is everyone always lying? It just spreads like a plague.

"I don't believe you.. Dad how could you do this to us?" I scream at him, hurting so much on the inside. I pause waiting for his answer, but he just lowers his head in defeat and sighs. I'm so disappointed right now, broken almost.

"How long dad? how long has this been going on?" I say in a low, cold voice.

"I...A few months." He murmurs.

"Oh my god!" I say in a whisper, tears unwillingly come to my eye, I clench my fists. "I want you to go home, pack your shit, and leave." I tell him in the harshest, cold tone I could muster.

"Iris, please..." He begs grabbing my arm, I'm disgusted right now.

"Don't touch me.." I yank my arm away from him. "I want you gone by the end of the day." With that I turn and walk away from my father.

I run away, practically jumping into my car. I drive to the mall where I work at the Spencer's. When I arrive my coworker, and best friend is there, I greet her with a, "Hey Darcy." I put on the best smile I can make.

"Hey Iris whats up?" She grins at me.

"Not much, so who's the weirdo of the day?" Darcy and I have this thing where we rate the customers based on what they buy.

She replies with a twisted smirk, "Some 26 year old dude who bought a vibrating tongue stud, a whip, and two very large dildos." she uses her hand as a size reference

"Ugh.. Sick man, people are so messed up." I shake my head and laugh. I work the cash register and restock the clothes and toys for the rest of my shift, maybe I can distract myself from today's unfortunate events.

I pull into the drive way and shut the car off but I don't get out. I have no idea how I'm going to tell mom what happened. I some how muster up the strength to walk into the house. I see my mom sitting on the couch waiting T.V. she turns around at the sound of my foot steps.

"Hey Hun how was your day?" She asks

" Mom we need to talk." I say my voice getting all thick.

"Oh Hun if its about your father I all really know."

" You do?"

" Yeah he told me he was going to be gone for a while for a business trip and said you were all worked up about it."

She said giving me a hug. My jaw drops utterly baffled he didn't tell her than I get mad but than is see my moms face and feel sad.

" Mom..."

" What Hun?" she says with a concerned face

" Dad isn't going on a business trip... I-I-I um I kicked him out."

She stands up quick " WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU DO THAT YOU HAD NO RIGHT!?" she yelled

"MOM HE WAS CHEATING ON YOU AND I FOUND OUT SO I KICKED HIM OUT! "I ran up to my room and slammed the door before she could reply.After about fifteen minutes I hear a knock on my door.

"Sweetie can you open the door please?"

After a minute I unlock the door and sit back on my bed she entered the room and sat beside me

"You wanna tell me what happened?" I tell her how I found out.

BZZZZZ BZZZZZ my alarm clock goes off " ugh " I get up and get ready for school i put on my red skinny jeans, my black tank top, and my black and red plaid flannel I tie it around my waist, I finished my look with my black converse, get in my car and drive up to school. I park my car and Brody meets me at my locker.

" Good morning gorgeous." says Brody as I reach my locker he scoops me up in a hug and gives me a kiss on the way down.

I smile " good morning!"

Brody is the schools quarter back, popular and most attractive guy at school. Hes the childhood best friend that you've known forever and owe it to yourselves to date.

" Hey Iris." My two best friends Selena and Kat say as they approached my locker

"Hey all ready to go." I say gabbing my backpack and books

"Bye babe see you at lunch." Brody says before giving me a peck on the lips and walking away.

On the way to class Kat starts talking a bout this new kid we have at school.

"So did you see the new kid Jerick?"

"Yeah. totally hot to bad he's dating the one girl from our history class."

"Oh you mean Alex, Yeah they're cute together and she seems happy I never see her talking to anyone." Selena says with a gleam in her eyes

When we reach the class I sit in my usual spot in the back Alex and Jerick come in and sit down next to me. Before class ends I notice Alex fell asleep,

"Alex wake up the bells going to ring."

I grab her hand to try and wake her she jolts up and looks a little out of it.

Sorry for not posting sooner I've been Busy with school and had a bit of writers block
