Chapter 3

Gabe's POV

I've been avoiding Alex for the past couple of days because I was stressed about the baby and I didn't know what to say to her. I couldn't just say that I didn't want the baby because her fear was the I would be a dead beat dad and I can't do that to her. I still love her...she's probably moved on from me by now. How long has she been pregnant for anyway? She looks to be as of 7 months but I should probably make sure that I'm even the father. A DNA test should work fine. I just need to get over being afraid and face my fear.

Alex's POV
It really bothers me that Gabe hasn't been around, not even school. He should be back soon because he's been gone for a while. Why do I care? Do I still have feelings for him?
"Hi Alex!" Cassidy said with excitement startling me.
"Hi Cass" I replied.
"So you see that really cute boy over there?" She asked me pointing to Cole.
"You mean Cole" I stated.
"You know him?!?" She said with jealousy in her eyes.
"Yes, I've known him for years. He's Gabe's best friend" I told her.
"Oh" she said.
"Do you want me to introduce you?" I asked her.
"Please do so!" She pleaded.
I rolled my eyes and walked over to him with Cassidy right behind me.
"Hiya Cole." I said as soon as I got up to him.
"Oh hi Alex" he said looking at me and Cassidy.
"So, this is Cassidy" I said pointing to behind me.

Cole's POV
"Hiya Cole." Alex said walking up to me.
"Oh hi Alex" I replied looking at her and the girl behind her.
"So, this is Cassidy" Alex said pointing to the prettiest blonde girl I've ever seen in my life.
"Hi Cassidy" I said reaching out my hand.
"Hi" she replied shaking my hand.
"So what brings you back to California?" I asked Alex.
"Oh well I just wanted to come back because I had news for Gabe. Cassidy wanted to tag along" she said raising her eye brows.
"Oh. What news?" I asked confused.
"She's pregnant" Cassidy said. I was a bit surprised that Cassidy responded instead.
"Cassidy!" Alex yelled, her face turning red.
"What? You weren't going to say it so I did" Cassidy said.
"Well Gabe could have told him" Alex told her.
Cassidy rolled her eyes and walked off. Damn.
