"Only one? I don't care if there's only one cure! It doesn't matter as long as we can make it"

"About that my lady... I'm afraid why can't, we just don't have the right ingredients-"

"I wish it were that... simple, most of them we could easily find, but the key ingredient is only found in the royal gardens, it would be dangerous-"

"I don't carry if it's dangerous! The rebellion needs Ender....I need Ender...he's all I have left"

"I understand, but we simply don't have enough soldiers to launch an attack on the capital"

"We won't need them, a small force would do, I only need two others..."

"Princess! You can't be serious, it's- it's to dangerous!"

"I. Don't. Care. I'd do anything to save him, just as he'd do anything to save me...I love my brother more than anyone else, I-...I can't let him die..."

"Alright...who do you plan to bring with you?"

"Theo...and Jace if he's willing to leave my brothers side"

"Jace, you know I hate it when you leave me to wake up alone..." Ender grumbles, frowning as he takes a few steps towards said meanie.
"Ender! What are you doing out of bed?!" Jace asks, glaring at his lover accusingly.
"Looking for you- ah!" Ender stumbles on an uneven patch of ground.
Jace catches him with ease,"Careful my love, you could hurt yourself worse" he says, running a along Enders cheek.
"I know, but I also know you'll always be here to catch me when I fall.." Ender says, grabbing Jaces hand, he wraps his free atm around Jaces neck, pulling himself up so he can look his lover directly in the eyes.
"Hmm, but what if I wasn't here?" Jace questions.
"Well then I'd just fall and wait for you to find me and carry me back to my bed..." Ender replies.
Jace sighs, he leans forward and presses his lips against Enders, tightening his hold on the smaller man.
"Alright! That's enough making out you two, come on, get up, and go back to bed Ender!" Meadow snaps, walking over to her brother and his boyfriend.
"My dearest little sister-"
"Just get to the point"
"No" Ender says, crossing his arms and leaning further into his lovers embrace.
"No?" Meadow ask, "No?! YOU DON'T GET TO SAY NO HERE!!! YOU MAY BE OLDER BUT YOU'RE SERIOUSLY INJURED-"
Jace sighs, trying his best to tune out the rest of her yelling...those two are so alike, he slowly starts to stand up, adjusting his grip on Ender as he does so.
"And what do you think you're doing?!" Ender snaps, though he hardly seems bothered about being carried bridal style.
"Taking you back to bed, so you can rest like you said you would" Jace replies, already starting to walk back towards the formally abandoned castle they're using as a base.
"No you are not!" Ender yells, finally starting to struggle, "I'm not going back there, I'm coming with you!"
"Do you even know where we're going?" Jace asks.
"Of course! What? Did you honestly think I didn't wake up as well when 'dow came and got you!? Did you forget I was- Mhpm!!" Jace rudely interrupted Enders rambling by leaning down and kissing him...not that Ender would complain, well he would if it made Jace kiss him again...
"Hush my love, you know why you cannot come, it's to dangerous-"
"I don't care!!" Ender wails, tears starting to form in his eyes, "I want to stay with you! I need you..." He cries, griping Jaces shoulder as his tears start to spill.
"Sh, sh, it's okay my love, I'll be just fine" Jace says, kneeling down at setting Ender down. He wraps his arms around the crying prince.
"What if you-" Jace puts a finger on Enders lips, using his other hand to wipe away some of his lovers tears. "I will be fine, you on the other hand won't be, especially if we don't complete this mission"
"But!-"
"No buts, you're staying here and that's finally!"

Ender smiled as the wind flowed through his hair, he sat atop his horse, Heather, a gray-ish brown mare with a beautiful, thick maine. He trusted her very much, enough to ride her with a saddle... though that was heavily influenced by the fact that he could talk to animals. "They're all such big meanies! They weren't even going to allow me to come! At least you understand me Heather...you let me come with only a few complaints!" He exclaims.
She neighs in (slight) agreement, "You owe me a lot of apples later..."
Jace frowns, in they end, nothing they could do was enough to stop Ender from coming with, he sighs, "We should take a break soon the horses are probably getting tired"...and so is Ender, Jace could tell just by looking at his lover that he was tired, he was panting and every so often his eyes would start to lose focus. It was obvious that if he didn't rest soon.
"Buttercup can-" Theo starts, but Meadows glare quickly silences him. Theo used to be the royal blacksmith, he was a tall and fairly muscular guy, Though Jace knew better than to judge him by his appearance, he was cheerful and friendly, the type of person who named all his animals after flowers and liked to read stories to his children at night, he had a lovely partner as well, Arrow was one of the nicest people Jace had ever meant. They were at home with theirs and Theos daughters.
"Yes, Heather says she needs a drink...and some apples, oh and it's almost sunset..." Ender says, Heather instantly slows to a halt, and all the other horses follow suit.
Jace rushes off his horse, a stallion name Dragon and heads over to help Ender who is stumbling to climb off Heather, out of the corner of his eye he can see Theo and Meadow dismounting their horses, Buttercup and I, He will never understand how Meadows horse came to be named after a letter...
He quickly turns his attention back to Ender as he slips and tumbles off Heather, Jace catches him, "You need to stop falling my love, you're going to reopen your wound."
"Hm, I thought we went over this earlier, I don't have to worry about things like that as long as I have you to catch me" Ender says, smirking slightly.
Jace sighs, "I know, but you should still try to be careful"
"I will, don't worry...we should probably try and find a stream for water..." Ender starts to get up, but Meadow pushes him back into Jaces arms.
"I'll handle that, you stay here, rest and make out with your boyfriend or whatever it is that you two do..." She says, gagging slightly when they start to down just that, "Gross..." She mutters as she heads off, she'll never understand her brother or his boyfriend...
Jace pulls away to take a breath, "She's right you know, you need rest my love..."
"I'll be fine-" Enders dismissal us cut off by a sudden fit of coughing, Jace frowns, worry evident on his face... "Ender....are you okay?" He asks.
Ender looks up at him, slightly surprised to hear Jace use his actual name he usually just called Ender 'My love' or something like that. Once the fit ends and he catches his breath, Ender sighs "Jace... I-...I think you know the answer to that" he says, barely holding back tears.
"Yes...I do" Jace says, his frown becoming more evident, "But I also know that I'm going to save you..." He adds.
Ender smiles, but he doesn't seem so sure, "I- thank you...", Jace furrows his brow, slightly confused and slightly worried...
"Ender...-" there he goes... using Enders name again "-do you think...do you think you're gonna die? Do you think...that we won't be able to save you..?" Jace asks.
Ender glances off to the side..."Oh, Uh- you know.." he mumbles.
Jace puts a hand on Enders cheek, gently pushing his lover to face him, "Ender...my love, please answer me... please"
"Yes!" Ender wails, "I do think I'm going to die! And I'm scared Jace! I don't wanna leave you...or Meadow" Tears flow freely down his face.
For the first time since knowing Ender, Jace doesn't know how to comfort him... Enders always been dramatic, and hes always been a crybaby...but this time he just doesn't know what he could do to make his love calm down and stop crying, so he lets him cry it out.
After a good few minutes of crying, Ender starts to calm down, "I-i'm sorry... I'm such a crybaby..." He mumbles, hiding his face in his hands.
"It's okay my love, you don't have to apologise for crying" Jace says, gently pulling Enders hands away from his face, "Crying is something everyone does, and so what if you do it more than most, I don't see why you should have to apologise for that"
"Jace- I..."
"Hush my love, you need sleep, I'll wake you up when we're ready to leave" Jace says.
"Okay..." Ender mumbles, he lays down in Jaces lap, "If you don't wake me up I will kill you..." He adds before closing his eyes.
"Sure you will..."
