_ at the hospital _

venti strokes xiao's hand , who is unconscious on the hospital bed .

venti starts singing softly over and over again , waiting for xiao to open his eyes ,the sound of the iv drip and heart beat monitor filling the room. xiao's eyes flutter open , to see venti at his side , crying as he sang softly. smiling to himself , he uses up the last of his energy to stroke venti's hand back. his breath goes dead. screams can be heard.

_ days later _

venti packs up xiao's things , when he finds a mp3 recorder with the words " to venti " on the front. intrigued , he presses play.

" hey venti , sweetheart. i know i can't sing as well as you. heh , at least i tried right? i love you." 

"xiao.. why couldn't you tell me sooner ? i could've spent more time with you . no , i should have."

the recording stops , and the next one comes on. 

" hey my dandelion , i love you "

" it is ... June 16th ! your birthday. happy birthday , babe . i'm gonna get your favorite flowers"

he remembers this. xiao showed up with cecilias and dandelions with a bottle of wine.

" sigh , this idiot.. he got injured again at his performance. i hope he'll like almond tofu.."

he remembers this as well. xiao brought ointment and a tupperware of the dish.

" today i met a guy.. he was kind of cute? his name is venti."

and the recordings stop.

xiao.. i'm so sorry i couldn't give you the love you deserved.
