Chapter 7: Vampire Girl

I never had time to myself now. When I wasn't at school being tortured or hunting with the Cullens I was protecting sweet vulnerable Bella. Boo. I hated not having time to just sit with Jasper and talk, or not talk, and just be together. All the times we stared at the stars together and shared an innocent kiss. The wolves where a whole lot nicer to me then they were to the other Cullens. Jacob even licked my hand once, which I found kind of weird but I think it was supposed to be nice.

"Hey Bird, since, you know, you went hunting yesterday and I didn't and the wolves are taking Bella-" Edward begged.

"You want me to go with," I rolled my eyes.

"No one else can, exept you, they like you," Edward begged.

"Edward, today is my only day I can be alone with Jasper for once," I moaned.

"Please," Edward whined.

"Please," I begged. He took one of my hands in his and dove into my thoughts for a second. I pulled up a nasty image and he covered his eyes.

"Stop, stop please, please, for Bella," Edward said. I removed the image. I could go, I haven't seen Jake or Seth in awhile.

"Yeah, go, good girl," Edward begged.

"Fine," I rolled my eyes.

"Now I am out and thank you very much for scarring me for life," Edward said. He disappeared from my room and I groaned and laid back. He came back with Bella holding his hand and a pleading look in his eyes. I groaned and shooed him out.

"Give me a minute to get changed," I said. I pulled on some black leggings and a baggy white sweatshirt. Knowing Jake we were probably doing something to convince Bella to love him instead. I wandered out and climbed in the backseat of Edward's car. Jasper appeared next to me and I heard Edward laugh.

"She already said she would go you don't have to convince her," Edward said.

"Jazzy, I hate this, but I am going to go, but I hate this," I told him.

"I know Bird, I can feel it, this is why I love you-" Jasper started.

"And enough of that let's get out of here," Edward said. We drove off super fast. I learned why the Cullens liked to drive fast, its amazing, I love it too. We jolted to a stop and I smashed my forehead against Bellas seat in front of me. Jasper laughed and touched my forehead. I smacked his hand away and then got out. Jacob was waiting. Bella and Edward were saying there goodbyes and I hugged Jasper. He pushed me away a bit and pulled me into a short yet meaningful kiss. Sparks seemed to flow around us and when he pulled away I was tempted to dive back in. But I didn't. Instead I walked slowly and sadly towards Jacob, making sure to look protective and suspicious. I held myself in a half crouch as I walked towards him and he laughed and hugged me.

"You don't hate me?" I asked.

"Bird, I love you, I could never hate you, you are you," Jacob said.

"I'm different then the rest aren't I, thats why you like me," I rolled my eyes. He released his arms from around me and shrugged.

"Maybe," He said. I turned to Bella and Edward was still possessively kissing her. I laughed.

"No shirt eh," I nodded.

"Its a wolf thing, you are cold but warmer than the others," Jacob commented.

"Its a human vampire thing," I shrugged.

"Why are you so, human-y," Jacob asked.

"Let me show you," I announced. I crouched to the ground and though of a happy memory me and Jake shared. Flowers grew under my warm touch and I hummed and stopped it.

"You are the best vampire ever," Jacob said. I rolled my eyes and stood up. Bella finally came over and I smiled as Jacob hugged her. He was glaring at Edward and Edward was glaring back, man this was going to be interesting. Edward growled at me and Jasper growled at him. Ooh, the drama. Edward suddenly broke and started laughing. I climbed into Jacob's car and he climbed in with Bella.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"You'll see," he smiled.

He drove us into the reserve and I could practically hear all the angry words that were going to be thrown at me when I got out of this car.

"You sure this is cool," Bella said.

"Ha, your worried, they all hate me," I smiled.

"I hate being a party crasher," Bella continued like I hadn't said anything.

"Really your a council meeting crasher," Jacob informed.

"Wait seriously, you brought me into enemy territory AND I am intruding in on a wolf meeting. Good going Jacob," I laughed.

"Oh get over yourself Bird," Jacob laughed. "See over there is the council leaders, my dad, quils grandpa and Sue Clearwater, she joined after Harry died," Jacob said.

"Wait Henry- damn I missed a whole lot," I said.

"Okay we should not be here," Bella laughed.

"Your okay, I thought, I mean they thought it would be a good idea if you heard the historys," Jacob said.

"The historys?" I wondered aloud.

"Like the tribe histories, no way aren't they like, sacred," Bella said.

"We all got a role to play, and by now you two are definitely a part of this," Jacob said. "And besides, it's Seth, Leah, and Quills first time too, but you are the first outsiders, and Bird you are definitely the first Vampire," Jacob laughed.

"If I had known that I might have well, dressed better," Bella laughed.

"If I had known I might have, well, not come," I joked.

"Jake," a young voice yelled.

"Sethy!" I screeched.

"Bird!" He laughed. I used to babysit Seth when we were younger, he's like the little brother I never got. I hugged him and he picked me up and twirled me around. "It's about time you got here. Paul's been hovering up the grub, but I saved you some," Seth said. I ruffled his hair and hugged him again.

"Aw Seth, what is that God awful wet dog smell," I coughed. Everyone turned to me.

"You brought one in?" Sam asked.

"Bird is different Sam," Jacob said.

"Prove it," Paul said.

"Bird, show him," Jacob commanded. I sat down on the ground and imagined Jasper was next to me, braiding flowers into my hair. Beautiful flowers grew up around me and Sam nodded.

"Perhaps she isn't just a destructive vampire girl," Sam admitted.

"Thanks I guess," I laughed.
