Chapter 5

Tray's POV

Last night I had the weirdest dream ever. I was a merman! I kept myself convinced I wasn't going crazy. I mean it was just a dream,right? I was worried over nothing. My friends would call me a physco if i told them.

I went in the bathroom to have a shower but hesitated before finally deciding to go in. I fixed the water to the perfect temperature, not two hot and not too cold. This caused the water to be more relaxing in my opinion. As soon as i went in the water I felt relieved their was no tail. I closed my eyes and began to relax. I was suddenly brought back to reality by the feeling of the water bubbling. What could have aused the water to atart bubbling. It stopped and I opened my eyes. To my disbelief their was a tail where my legs should be. The tail was just like in my dreams. It had many shades of red, getting darker as it went down. I couldn't believe my eyes. I must have stared at my legs for a good five minutes before I reacted. I was very awstrucked that I had tail. I jumpd out of the tub and fell flat on my face. I crawled on the ground frantically searching for a towel. Unfortunately it was in the living room. How could I have been so dumb not to carry a towel  with me. I went into the living room and grabbed the towel. As I started to dry myself of there was a knock on the door. Why did whosoever is at the door have to come now. "Who is it?" I asked

"Amanda" the person at the door replied.

What was she doing here so early and how did she know where I lived? "I am coming" I replied.

"Is something going on in there"

"No. Just need to get rid of this tail"

"A TAIL"

"Did I just say that, I meant tr-" I was cut of by Amanda storming through the door. Her mouth was wide in in shock.

"M...my dr...dream was real."

"What dream?"

"Tell you soon we need get you dry. Does anyone live with you?", she asked.

"My mom should be here, but I guess she isn't." I replied. Where coul she have gone so early I silently added.

Amanda sat down and explained her dream to me, which didn't take long as I had the SAME dream. She also explained to me about the reason she believed I turned into a merman. I was still finding it hard to believe but I survived. I then ask her how she got here and this early. She explained that it was my friends who gave her the address and that it was 12:34 pointing at the clock. I really hadn't looked at the clock sice I woke up and was kind of shocked I woke up this late.

"Does this mean I can't go any where near water," I asked worriedly.

"Yes." She replied "If your skin come in contact with liquids you will have five seconds to escape if in a crowd."

"But five seconds is not alot of time" I answered.

"I know but that's how it works." Amanda said. "Uhm you're not in any clothes."

"Oh sorry." I said trying to hide the blush creeping up on my face." Uhm I'll go put something on"

After I put something on we went to the dinner where we saw

My friends talking to some girls.

"What the heck!" Amanda shouted looking at the girls.

My friends simuntaneously looked up with the girls. Amanda literally ran pulling the girls with her anger bubbling inside her. The girls looked a little worried but tried to hide it. They went over to an empty counter a good distance from us and started yelling at them. For what, I had know clue. Right then and there I knew not to get on her bad side.
