"Just gonna get some bacon and milk," I sang to myself. My mom was getting ready to make dinner and sent me to the local store to get ingredients for macaroni and cheese. . . Yum! I paid for the groceries and walked out to the parking lot. It was cool and dark, the average autumn night. From the faint glow of the lamp-post, I noticed a dark figure following behind me. Afraid, I walked faster, my heart speeding.

"Who are you running away from baby girl," said the man behind me. I didn't reply. My walking pace began to pick up. Then, a van pulled up in front of me and four, maybe five men jumped off and approached me. Oh no, this cannot be, my life will not end this soon. As I slowly walked backward, someone grabbed me and covered my mouth. I kicked and screamed but it was no use, he was too strong. Something stabbed my neck and a warm fluid went down my neck. I blacked out.

I woke up on a soft mattress. "It was all a dream-" I stopped in my tracks, re-thinking what I just said. I was in a small, dark room with a small, square window. It had a musty smell to it and the location did not seem that great. "She's awake," said a man in the darkness. One by one, each of them revealed themselves in the light. They all stared at me. "What is your name," said one of them in a demanding tone. I was speechless. One minute I was doing a favor for my mom and the next I am kidnapped. "Just f*cking say it already," he said impatiently.

"My name is Kate," I said shakily. They all nodded in reply. One of the taller men walked up to me. "There is just one simple rule to follow, you must obey and do as I say or else there will be consequences." I looked at him puzzled. What kind of consequences? He looked back to the guys and gave an evil smirk to me. "Let me introduce the gang, I am Dylan and they are Chris, Rider, Ash, and Seth."

"What do you want with me," I asked. Dylan swept his ginger hair to the side. "I simply want a pretty girl like you." I shook my head in disbelief. Pretty? "I hate you," I spitted out. Rider ran up to me and held a knife against my throat. He smiled devilishly. Dylan signed Rider to take the knife off my throat. "This is just a warning," he said. Ash's face lit up. "Anyone want breakfast?" he asked. I immediately got out of bed and followed Ash up the stairs to the kitchen.

"So, are you in the mood for bacon and pancakes?" he asked. "I am," I called out. Ash smiled and went in the pantry to get the pancake mix.
