Nothing seemed calmer then at night, when the rain tapped your window in greeting. The smooth pitter-patter a melody I could not ignore, one that always lulled me deeper into my mind. The sound of rain soothes me more then others could understand.
The sounds were calm, but the sensations were otherworldly. The feeling of the rain in my hair, making it stick to my head as I stand there, embracing the coldness with open arms seeking tranquility between myself and something that listened without hearing. Hidden from curious eyes as I sway and slide, as I twirl and turn, dancing to a natural melody that played on repeat. A melody on repeat that I could never tire of.
I laid in the damp grass, smiling widely as the rain embraces me. The melody of everything seemed never ending, until the rain let up and the clouds went away. I left to go back into my home, the comfort of rain will last for days.
