After spending hours upon hours packing and getting myself together to go back to school for my last month before I graduate and have to go into the real world. Gross.

As I was zipping up my last bag as my music came to a stop and my phone started ringing. I walked over to where my phone was charging and saw Maddie's face take over my screen. Her contact photo was her drunk off her ass while I squished her face.

"Hey, I'm gonna be done in 30 just have to talk about some scheduling things," she spoke while other people talked in the background.

"Okay I just got done packing, I'll grab food and come get you?" I offered setting the phone on speaker and grabbing a cardigan from my closet, slipping it on.

"Yes can we get Cookout?" she asked. I rolled my eyes, she was obsessed.

"It's my last night can't I pick?" I joked.

"Okay what do you want?"

"I don't know" I laughed.

"Exactly, so Cookout it is. I'll text you my order, thank you! See you soon!"

"Bye see you soon"

I hung up and slipped on my white sneakers and fixed the clip that was holding up my hair before grabbing my purse and heading to my car.

I blasted music by Surfaces and drove with the windows down the whole time, taking in the fresh breeze and watching the sun go down. I'm gonna miss this place.

After getting our food and making it to the same building I dropped Maddie off at this morning, I waited out front for like five minutes before Maddie came strolling out of the building saying goodbye to a man who looked like he lived on the beach, the director maybe?

"There's some pep in your step!" I smiled as she opened the door and sat in the passenger seat.

"I think we found my Romeo," she laughed holding her heart and batting her eye lashes. I laughed at her as I started driving away.

"To the beach?" I asked.

"Yes!" she shouted holding her hand out the window feeling the air blow by.

We parked up the street than walked down the sand, we sat on a bench that was on the pier and watched the sunset, ate our food while listening to the waves crash on the sand below us.

"I'm gonna miss this," I sighed.

"You're only going to be gone a month and then be right back," she laughed.

"Maybe, what if I find a job in LA or New York or who knows Texas!" I said dramatically setting down my drink next to my foot.

"Well I may have overheard something about the styling team for the show," she said with a smirk looking over at me.

"And? What does that have to do with me?" I questioned

"They need extra hands and assistants! You could apply and come with me to film!"

"There's probably tons of people applying, Mads. The likelihood of me getting it is so small"

"Oh my gosh," she rolled her eyes, "Just apply, I'll put in a good word, and we'll see from there!"

I thought about it for a second, I had never really considered TV styling before. My end goal has always been working for a couture house and traveling the world for fashion shows, or being a celebrity stylist. Madelyn had always joked that she'd be my first client, which was starting to see true.

"Okay fine, send me the company's info and I'll apply," I sighed.

"We are going to manifest this shit! We're going to move to Charleston and work all summer and make good memories and most of all have fun!" she said full of excitement. She gave me a side hug and I smiled.

We spent my final night home together, watching movies and having one last sleepover before I had to go back to school in the morning.
