When The Story Begins

I slowly opened my eyes as it adjusted to the rooms lighting. I could tell that it was already 6:30AM but I really wanted to sleep just a tad bit more. Know fully well that closing my eyes for 5 minutes would turn into an hour I got off my King sized bed with my phone in hand. Today was going to be a long day, I really should have stayed home last night instead of going out with my best friend Kamilah and her cousin Jenny  but I had been MIA for a while so I had to go.

Lazily walking to my bathroom I went ahead to do my morning routine, a cold shower would really give me some energy. After spending about 10 minutes in the bathroom while singing some old school RnB I came out and took out my outfit for the day. I chose a maroon work pants and jacket that I had bought from Fashion Nova and a cute white blouse with a pair of black heels.

  Watching myself in the mirror I took in my nude appearance, I was not as short as most females as I stood at 5'9, I had long 4a hair that that I usually hid under various wigs or weaves, an oval shaped face with vulumptuous lips, D cup breast that I was grateful for with a slim waist and a nice proportion of hips and a butt that I could thank my mother for.

       Not realising how long I had stood admiring myself I quickly moisturised my cocoa brown skin and dressed myself I took up my hand bag from my work desk, taking out my keys as I made my way downstairs to exit my home.

         My home wasn't the most grand structure but it was one of my biggest accomplishments, a beautiful two story home in a nice secure neighborhood that was about 20 minutes from my job what more could I ask for. It really reminded me of my parents house that was a few blocks away from my home.



     I was an extremely punctual person who had never been late to work for the 3 1/2 years  I had been working for Bacchus Enterprise and today was not going to be the first. Walking into my garage and sliding into my car I sped off into the direction of my workplace.

      I was the Public Relations Manager of Bacchus Enterprise, another accomplishment that I fought tooth and nail to acquire which sadly resulted in me gaining a few enemies nothing that I couldn't handle.

    Parking my vehicle in the employees carpark I walked into the building greeting Marcy my assistant who happened to be entering at the same time

"Morning Marcy" giving he a smile as we walked towards the elevator

"Morning to you Ms. Parker, love the outfit" she complimented, she was a Latino woman in her early  20's dark skinned, thick and all round beautiful, she was also more efficient and hard-working than the other 2 assistants that I had previously who seemed to have a problem with keeping up to pace and taking instructions from someone younger than them.

Arriving in my office I sat down and finally checked my phone for any new messages.

Kamilah: Jojo I had a blast we need to start back hanging out more I miss this I miss us 😭😭🥴🥺

Here goes my extra ass best friend acting like we never get to see each other when hang out nearly every weekend, I quickly replied and put down my phone

Me: LOL Stop acting like a big baby, you know we're going to Miami next week for your birthday so quit fussing. TTYL

I had a lot of work to accomplish today in order for me to get next week off, I was really excited for our little trip all 5 of us needed it, me, Kam Kam, Jenny, Sydney and Tamika.

Getting out of my thoughts and into my work I began typing on my laptop, my boss Mr.Chance would be around today and he hated slackers.
