"Can you die from a broken heart?" The saddened voice said from the couch of the ZPD's head therapist," I have done my research on this, and apparently it is said to be a real thing, but not in the way you think. You see, your heart can be broken to the point where you feel nothing, and you cant eat, sleep, think, or even live. You sit there in a void existence and rot away."

The female elephant side and looked to her patient," You went through a traumatic loss. It is normal for you to feel the way you do."

"I didnt just lose a co worker," the voice said, crying," I lost my partner, my best friend, and the love of my life. You have no fucking idea what we went through together, and for it to end the way it did......what did I do go deserve this?"

"You didnt do nothing wrong. It's a part of life. You just have to keep their memory in your heart."

"But it's the memories that are killing me."

"Chief Bogo told me you were the best team the ZPD had. Want to tell me about that?"

"Not like its gonna help."

"Trust me. You just talk. I'll listen."

"Before that last case.......me and my partner were closer than any two mammals could be. It all really started when we went to that Gazelle Concert......"

*FIVE YEARS AGO*

Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps left the Police Avademy graduation and headed Judy was going to drop Nick Off at his apartment.

"I gotta say," Judy commented," You look pretty good in that uniform officer Wilde. Maybe you can stop wearing those tacky Hawaiian shirts now."

"Tacky?" Nick asked," Carrots, I happen to think that my clothing options is a representation of who who I am as an individual."

"Holy Shit," Judy said, shoxked," Did you eat a dictionary this morning? Those are some big words coming from you."

"I'm hurt, fluff," Nick replied, chuckling.

The two were listening to the radio, and a commercial came on for a Gazelle concert that was taking place that night.

"Oh my gosh, Nick, we should go to that," Judy said, a smile on her face," A little celebration to your success."

Nick thought on it for a moment and smile," You know what, Carrots, something tells me I might like that."

"Ok then, you better get ready. I'll pick you up at 6."

Nick smiled as the two pulled into the apartment complex. Nick said goodbye to the bunny and went into his home. It wasnt until he reached the stairs that we came to a realization.

"Did......did she just ask me on a date?"

Nick shook the thought out of his head. Of course she didnt you dumb fox.

Nick went into his apartment and took off his police uniform, putting it on his dresser and grabbing a Hawaiian shirt. He looked it over and said," Tacky? Pft, yeah right."

The fox put his shirt on with a pair of pants and then sat down. It was 5 o'clock now. He had a little time to wait.
###

At six o'clock, Judy's Car pulled into the lot of the old Apartment complex, and Nick got into the vehicle and saw what she was wearing, and honestly.....she was beautiful. Nick mentally slapped himself for thinking such a thing but he couldn't help it. It was the truth.

Nick ignored the thought that was now in the back of his mind, and he and Judy talked for a while until they made it to the concert.

The two walked together and saw that alot of the ZPD was there, including chief Bogo and Clawhouser.

Gazelle then walked onto the stage and began singing 'Try Everything' and the crowd was going while. Judy immediately started dancing, and as the song went on, Judy noticed Nick lack of Dancing. He was mostly just bobbing his head.

With a quick movement, she bombed him in the side, and Nick chuckled a little, dancing to the song as well.

Gazelle finished the song and spoke," My dear Mammals. I happened to look in the crowd and I see in front of me two heros. The two who saved the entire city. Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde."

The crowd cheered and the two smiled as they were being recognized. What they didnt notice was two mammals quickly look their way at hearing the names.

Gazelle then began a slower song and Nick kind of looked away from Judy. The bunny noticed this and nudged him a little," Do you want to dance?" She asked taking his hand.

"Why?" Nick asked nervously, which usually wasnt part of his personality.

"Because I know you're not gonna ask."

Nick gave a soft smile and said," I would love to."

As the song continued, Nick and Judy danced like no one was watching. Judy found herself digging her head into his chest," You know, my entire life I was looked at as a joke. The entire time I was trying to become a cop, others tried to talk me out of it, saying I would never do it.....then you came along, and sure, you were a dick at first, but you were the first mammal in this world who believed in me. I can't thank you enough for that."

"You cant thank me enough?" Nick asked with a chuckle," Up until a few hours ago, I was just a hustler making his living on the street, but do you know who saved me from that?" The fox questioned as he stopped dancing and brought Judy's face to look into his eyes," A smart, brave, beautiful bunny who was able to knock some sense into me."

Judy smiled to the fox and put a paw over his cheek, bringing him into a deep blissful kiss," Maybe this is gonna sound stupid," She said after pulling away," But....Nick.....I love you."

The fox then put his own paw over Judy's face, rubbing her ear with his thumb," I love you too."

Their faces then came together again, and their lips locked passionately.
###

From in the crowd, two mammals watched as the fox kissed the bunny. Their eyes wide and a look of disbelief on their faces.

"We have a problem," One voice said sternly.

"Yes we do, Stu. Yes we do."

AN- Oh shit. Ok, so someone is dead. We dont know who. Nick and Judy are in love, and Bonnie and Stu....well they dont like it too much. What will happen from here? Find out in the next chapter.
