They say a plot's not a story, until it's written down,
A princess isn't royalty, until you've given her a crown.
They say a player's not an athlete until he's in perfect shape,
A hero isn't super until he wears a cape.
They say, they say, but who is "they"?
And what makes them think they can talk this way?
You are somebody's princess or sombody's hero,
You are somebody's reason to face tomorrow.
You are someon's morning smile and someone's last thought at night,
Even without a crown, even without a cape.
You're a princess, you're a hero, and I love you that way,
And that's much more important than anything "they" say.
