A man

His complexity was underestimated
because of his gender. Because of his "privilege "they became so narrow minded when it came to his plethora of emotions, discarding it carelessly. "Be a man" they said tauntingly, and that's exactly what he did. He became a man of few words; of action; one who was brave, courageous and undoubtedly handsome, but he also became guarded, paranoid and devoid of any profound feeling. Society's own creation.

They moulded and conditioned him to be a granite rock of utter perfection – cold, stubborn and above all dead. He had traded his colourful palate of imagination for boring, "realistic" streaks of grey. He gave up way too easily. He refused to acknowledge his pain. He hid his tears, and his wishful thinking? Lost to the world in the dark recess of his mind.

And if you would look into his guarded eyes, you would see that they were identical to that of your brother, your son and your father

A/n: it's properly over simplistic to say this but I'll say it: the only reason we have sexist, indifferent men is because that's what we raised them to be.
