the assignment: create a poem or short story about the character being visited by a ghost, who gives them a morally controversial task for them to complete. I decided to twist it and do it from the ghost's pov.
I watch as my visit pains the girl. She looks confused and conflicted as i tell her what she must do. As i continue talking, her face grows more and more solemn and scared. "You have made a mistake, and this is the only way to remedy it" I tell her. "To repair what you have broken, something else must break." She looks around, curious if i am the only one here. I take that chance to watch from above. She paces the room, talks to herself, wrestling with my idea that i have planted in her thoughts. I watch over time as it engulfs her, contaminates her words, fuels her actions, closes her in as if the walls were shrinking. She cant escape. But she does. And now she joins me.
