Near to Death
Sometimes I think if I should believe
The people who are dead are the people who are free
As I opened my eyes, but I could not see
I felt the stitches come lose and the blood run free
I felt my head starting to bake
As my body started to shake
My vision soon went to a fade
Then I knew this was a big mistake.
I was quick to take a second look through
The window on the door of the operating room
I saw her eyes and I could not speak
As the anesthetic kissed her cheek
I felt my lips go cold and my legs go weak
Because the body on the table where the patient died, was me
I listen to the devil as he spoke
Because he tried to tempted me with a beautiful rose
I walked away to let him know
That I knew where I wanted to go
