Under the radar

We sat at the dinner table .Silence filled the room.I look up at mom then look back down to my plate . She drops her fork ,and looks at me . Her mouth shaped in an perfect o .

"You saw him didn't you .Didnt you ! Why didn't you say something ! You could get us killed you know what he's like .You saw what he did what he put us threw how he ruined your childhood ."

Thousands of thoughts swarmed in my head at once . She's right I should have said something . I know all of the damage he's caused to all of us mentally ,verbally and worst of all physically .Especially to mom .

"My gosh we have to move .i can't afford a new house what are we going to do.How does he keep finding us"

"Mom! We can't keep running away from him he going to find us if we move ,and then what ."

"there no getting away you know he contacts for all over the country ,and I wouldn't doubt it if he had people all over the world ."

"we can't keep giving weakness we need to stand strong as a family and fight cause this time we're not gonna let him win" I exclaimed.

I did'nt understand where all my danger came from . I guess I'm just tried of always moving because of the fear of him finding us again. I'm ready to fight .
