Tsunade pov:

Sighing and letting the brush slip through my stiff fingers to celebrate that I am finally done with this week's paperwork.

Looking at the closed door and deciding to celebrate, even more, standing up tiredly and walking to the wall where the window is, silently looking outside the window to see Konoha bursting with life.

The ninjas walking on duty while occasionally talking and greeting the civilians, the children running around with laughter and smiles, the sky is clear with almost no cloud to block the sun and the winds gently hitting the leaves.

Getting out of my thoughts I sit on the floor while crossing my legs and open up the little space on the wall that I had secretly made.

Seeing all the full sake bottles except for one that I had opened the week before and a cup, a small smile makes its way to my face.

Taking only half a bottle inside and pouring the cup to the brim before taking a huge sip out of it.

Taking more and more until the last drop comes onto my tongue, suddenly getting emotional looking at the other bottles.

Putting the cup down by my side and taking out one bottle after another before my fingers hesitantly touched upon a small black box at the furthest back in the corner, two initials on the lid with gold and white letters with light blue flowers and other patterns around it with the same colors

Looking at it with stinging eyes, heavy breathing, and trembling hands, placing it as gently as I can on the floor.

I pick up one of the bottles and start to drinking straight out of it the moment I opened it up as I stare at the box in front of my crossed legs.

Before closing my eyes and taking in a huge breath through my nose before breathing it out of my mouth.

Opening my eyes and tracing my fingers on the initials on the box accidentally letting out a few tears and biting hard on my bottom lips making me taste my bitter blood as I didn't want to start sobbing again.

Picking up the box and shuffling myself closer to the wall and turning around to lean against it.

Feeling the cold wall against my back, calming me down slightly before I gently opening the box up with my chakra.

The box in my hands starts to glow, both the patterns and the initials start to move around as if they were alive finally stopping and hearing a click indicating that it has been opened.

The two letters start to move away from each other revealing a beautiful sapphire ring with silver flowers on each side with smaller sapphire diamonds around it.

And right next to it is a space where the other ring is supposed to be.

(the white diamonds are tiny blue ones, the same color as the big one)

Looking at it, the ring starts to shine, I knew what it meant and I felt my heartbeat slowly making my hearing go dull and my vision blurry.

I remember when she explained to me how much the ring meant to her and that they could always shine whenever we are close.

Ever since her disappearance, I have been keeping an eye on that ring and never had it shined once. And now it is? I don't know how to feel, anger, hate, sadness, disappointment, happiness, love, and excitement.

Those were all the emotions of the heart, my mind on the other hand was exhausted. So much so that I could not look for her, even if this ring shined indicating that she was so close to me, I felt ashamed, I felt like I was not enough and must be the reason as to why she left.

Tears finally came out of my eyes as I held the ring close to my heart, crying hysterically as if I found out she was dead.

Maybe I would have the same reaction if I got the news that she is found dead somewhere, but now knowing that she is alive and probably on her way to me made it so much harder. Scares me, what if she is not the same? What if she doesn't love me anymore? What if she leaves again with no notice?.....
