"Sooo, uhh, what are you? Like, a-ah psychic? Silvia browne, or- ya'know that one kid from the sixth sense? Because I'm pretty sure I'm dead, and you're the first person to acknowledge me today." He crouched down next to me  since I was still on the floor.

"Right um... let's walk and talk, k?" He stood and so did I (with the best of my ability's.)then Some jockey noticed him talking to what appeared to be nothing to everyone else. He came up to him and pushed him into the lockers.

"Freak!" He yelled, laughing as he joined a group of friends. The boy dropped to the floor.

"Jerk" he yelled back has the jock jogged away.

"I'm guessing this happens a lot?" He looked at me and nodded

"yup. Ever since the first grade, I was like seven, and thought the whole world needed to know about the dead janitor." Creepy, I thought. Wait isn't he?

"Wait, Adam?" I asked. He looked over at me with wide eyes

"Sammy?" I smiled remembering our childhood friendship. Somewhere along the line, I left, and when I came back I guess I just didn't recognize him.

" I can't believe you're gone." I gave him a confused look.

"I'm right here though" DUH. I thought to myself, he gave me a sad look.

"No. I mean you're dead Sammy." Oh, ya.

"Oh, right.." the hall finally cleared up and the beginning bell of next period rang.

"So when did you, die? Not to be blunt or anything, but was it recently?" I thought for a minute

"last night. I over heard my mom talking on the phone earlier- something about a failed surgery, my memory is still foggy" I sat down next to him again.

" sooo, how is it?"

"How's what? Being dead? Umm good...I guess, except the fact that I can't pick anything up or talk to anyone, besides you, you're cool though" he giggled a goofy giggle,

"Thanks, you too, and don't worry about picking stuff up, you'll get the hang of it"

"Sweet! Wait, how do you know?" I poked him in the arm and it went right through him.

"I've met a lot of your kind... Learned some stuff "

"oh." I looked up at the clock "you're late for class" I looked over at him

"oh well, I'll just wait until class ends and go to third, you have time to talk?" Like I had anywhere else to be

"Nah i'm late for my yoga class." I said sarcastically.

"I'll take that as a yes"

We talked for the whole second period. Mainly about the whole being dead thing, and he told me some stuff to work on; getting from point A to point B, walking  with out tripping to my sudden doom, and how to start learning to the touch/pick up stuff. " so,  you're into all time low now huh? "  oh,  right, my jacket.

"well what can i say,  my music taste has changed  since  I was six. You a fan? "

"Yeah their alright" He agreeded.

In the corner of my eye I saw a door swing open, and to my surprise out came my sister Amy, walking right by me and Adam, than Elle walked out of her class and met up with Amy. They both were headed towards the office.

" I think your mom came to pick them up early" said Adam, as I leaned a bit to the left to get a look inside the office window. Yup. Mom was there. As a result of my leaning I lost my balance and tipped till I hit the ground. I quickly looked up at Adam who seemed to be laughing so hard no noise escaped his lips. "C'Mon dude,  I can't help it. " he calmed down a bit them looked down at me still giggling.

"Sorry,  me neither " my glare soon enough became as useless as a Marshmellow during a gun fight. I sighed and faintly laughed while attempting the art of standing up. Right as I almost regained my balance I felt pulling thing again.  Crap.
