An IS-2 and two T-34s, along with a single Pershing rolled forward onto the bridge leading to the American Occupied airbase, which was abuzz with activity as fighters were scrambled to take off. Quite the show of force, which was reciprocated by three Hellcat Tank Destroyers and two Easy Eights moving forward, with a man in a pilot's flight suit sitting on top of the lead Easy Eight.
Nonna was sitting in the copula, keeping a stoic demeanor. Kevin, on the other hand, was trying to get the Easy Eight crew to go faster, but they were refusing, not wanting to cause unnecessary damage.
The two groups slowly came to a stop, 50 feet between them. The two Russian born pilot and tanker got off their respective tanks and walked up to each other. The two sides stood in silence, the tension apparent as they looked for any reason to open fire upon each other.
Keven broke first, speaking loudly, evident of his character. "So you have grown up without me! Damnit, wish it was on better terms!" He then broke down and hugged Nonna really hard, burying his face in her shoulder. "We should have..."
Nonna stood there briefly before wrapping her arms around the crying pilot. "It has been too long, lil' brother." She began to break down herself, holding her long lost blood, stroking his hair to calm him down. "It will be alright... don't cry..."
Kevin looked up, smirking slightly. "Says you!" He playfully punched her shoulder before hugging her again. The crews of both sides relaxed slightly, smiling at the reunion.
Nonna smiled, wiping her tears away. "Can you... hold me? Like we used to a long time ago?"
Kevin nodded, pulling Nonna to the side of the bridge, sitting down and allowing the taller Russian to lay her head on his lap, holding onto his waist.
Central Desert Region - Morning
Rommel and Wilhelm were talking over their strategy. "So you want my Ghost Division to be the diversion and hit Saunders head on?" Rommel asked, grumbling at the tactics.
"Ja! And we will push on the Harbor! All in one fell swoop! We can end this whole shitshow before the end of the Third Month!" Wilhelm smirked.
"I wouldn't be so confident. The Terrain of your route of advance is something that invites ambushes. And heavies don't work on ambushes."
"So? They don't have tanks outside of the firefly that can knock them out!" Wilhelm said. "Plus, unless they grab the KMM forces, they won't stop our march!"
"You are too confident, Wilhelm. They are in a decent position, and I haven't been able to dislodge them with sniping." Rommel stated, drawing a line on the map, indicating the current positions of Saunders. "Though, I saw a gap that you can use. The main road into the city. But then again, we have little intel on the reserves that the Japanese have."
"You worry too much, Rommel. Your predecessor didn't stop and wait for the conditions to be right." Wilhelm frowned.
"He was aware of the situation, and acted on it. I don't have the forces to push them out. But, give me a few more days, and I'll cover your flank-"
"Nein, we are going in five minutes." Wilhelm stated. "And it's final!"
Timeskip to midday.
"Panzer March!" The Prussian Armored Korps started out, advancing down the road with the Konigstigers leading the formation.
Several Shermans fired upon the group, to which was responded with the 88mm guns barking out their response, hitting two of the Shermans and knocking them out.
With Kay and co.
"You want us to pull back? Why?" Kay asked, apparently fuming. "We have been holding them back with our-"
"You are to pull back, Commander Kay. We have a surprise for them." The voice of Shiho came through before the comm went dead.
"You heard her... All units, pull back!" Kay commanded, as the entire team pulled back.
With Brandenburg
"The enemy is pulling back! Advance!" Wilhelm commanded, his word being law.
Several Centurion Mk. 2s were advancing, firing upon the advancing Germans.
"Fik es! Feuer!" The 88mm cannon roared on the Konigstiger, knocking out an advancing Challenger 2. "Keep it up, Komrads! We need to hold until the Irish or Yanks get us out of this mess!" Wilhelm commanded to his Korps. "Show them Prussian Discipline!"
Across the battlefield, a Saunders firefly was aiming towards the Konigstiger. 800 meters. Naomi was carefully aiming up. I got a one in a hundred shot to disable the command tank... The sniper frowned before pulling the trigger. The 17 pounder roared as the shell soared through the air. Just at the last minute, the Konigstiger moved back slightly, preventing the shell from hitting the turret ring and disabling the tank. "Damn..."
Then, the whistling of shells was heard by those who either had keen hearing, or had their heads outside the tanks they were occupying. The shells landed behind the Germans, but a gray mist started to creep out of the shell craters, and blew towards the embattled Germans.
Wilhelm looked around, gathering information for his next move, noticed the mist. "Gas, gas, gas! All personnel, in the tanks and close all possible airways that are not filtered! Fik es, these Japanese dogs cannot win fairly, so they use gas?!"
The poison gas soon enveloped the Brandenburg Tanks, with gas seeping into the tanks, which caused the crews to cough up blood, making them turn pale.
Kay, Alisa, and Naomi looked on in horror. "The poor guys and gals... That's why the Feds wanted us to pull back...." Alisa muttered, with Kay punching the top of her tank. "Damnit! We just violated the Geneva Convention!" Naomi could only watch, trying her best to keep some semblance of control over her exterior. Maybe Nonna was right....
With the Ghost Division and Ooraii..
"What the!? Fucking hell!" Rommel spoke into his com. "This is Kommandant Rommel! Priority One! Japanese have launched gas! Repeat! Priority One! Gas has been launched by the Japanese!" Rommel growled. "Pull us back to the Irish! We cannot assist the Prussians in our current situation!"
Miho was in shock. "Mother, why..."
With The Family Reunion...
"I'm glad that we could just hang out like old times." Kevin smiled, embracing Nonna.
"So do I, lil' brother." The Pravda Vice-commander smiled.
"This is Kommandant Rommel! Priority One! Japaness have launched gas! Repeat! Priority One! Gas has been launched by the Japanese!" The radios in the American tanks blared out, causing everyone to stop what they are doing.
"Fuck!! Get US Pacific Command on the line, Sergeant! NOW! "Kevin leaped onto the Hellcat, holding the radio. "All ready, sir!"
"Thanks! This is Commander Kevin from the Liberty Air Corps of the Western Tankery Federation! Priority One! We have confirmation of Gas on the field, launched by the Japanese! Requesting postponement of the match indefinitely until the situation is solved! Understood, I'll relay the orders to the rest of the teams here! We will hold!"
Nonna was pale, and trying to keep herself strong. Kevin frowned as he jumped down from the Hellcat. "Nonna! Inform your deserters that you are nearby ordered to pull back behind our lines here and await the order to return! The US military will hit anyone who is in the Japanese controlled areas!"
Nonna only nodded, climbing back into her IS-2, and relayed what was said, or rather, commanded.
With General Klara and Commander Lee.
"FUCK! THEY HAVE GONE TOO FAR! ROBERT! TAKE A HELLCAT AND GO TO KMM! TELL THEM IT IS A PRIORITY ONE MESSAGE! THEY NEED TO COME BEHIND OUR LINES, OR THEY RISK THE WRATH OF THE US ARMY!" Lee commanded, the man jumping into his TD and rushing towards the KMM positions.
Klara frowned. "I'll inform our forces..."
