Eddie runs home hoping to get home on time and not get hurt this time by his drunken father...Eddie gets home and opens the door to his drunk angry father..Eddie gets scared and he knows what's about to happen...it's been happening almost everyday...sometimes more than once in one day...
"AND WHERE WERE YOU?!"frank yells
"O-out at the d-dance with some f-friends.."Eddie replies shaking
"Frank leave him alone!!"sonia begs
Frank hits sonia "SHUT UP COW!"Frank yells
"DON'T HIT HER AND CALL HER THAT!!"eddie yells without thinking and then freezes wishing he never said that..
"Did you just..yell at me?!"frank puts his beer down and punches Eddie a bunch
Eddie falls to the ground and can't move then frank kicks Eddie...he does it again and again..and again...frank finally stops and Eddie is still on the ground curled up holding his stomach tearing up and can barley move Eddie goes to reach the phone to call the cops cuz he knows he has to if he wants his dad to stop...it's the right thing to do!..he says to himself..while he is reaching for the phone frank stomps on
his arm so hard..his arm breaks...Eddie screams in pain and starts to cry
"WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!"sonia runs up Eddie holding him "eddie bear talk to me hunny! Are you ok?!"sonia starts to panic
"That f*gg got what he deserved!"frank says then leaves the house
Sonia calls the cops and they get there 10 minutes later...Eddie is taken to a hospital and the cops are tracking down frank...
Later eddie wakes up in the hospital with Richie sitting next to hospital bed freaking out...
Eddie looks at him "r-richie?..."he says softly
"EDDIE!!"richie quickly gets up "I'm so sorry eddie!!!this is all my fault! This would have never happened if I didn't make you go to the dance with me!!"richie tears up "I'm sorry!!"richie repeats "sorry" over and over again..
Eddie looks at him and holds his hand... "hey hey...it's not your fault...this would have happened even if I didn't go to the dance... so none of this is your fault.."
Richie wipes his tears "y-you sure?..."
"Positive"Eddie says...
"A-are you o-ok?...."richie looks at him
"Yeah...just a bit sore.."Eddie said softly
Richie looks into his eyes and thinks about the kiss...did it mean anything?...or was it one of his jokes?....Richie's leans closer and kisses eddies forehead..Eddie looks at him and smiles
Couple hours later the doctor tell them eddie is good to go...Maggie comes running in the room
"OMG EDDIE ARE YOU OK?! YOUR MOM TOLD ME WHAT HAPPENED!"maggie gets worried
Richie helps Eddie up "y-yeah I'm fine"
"Ok..you and your mom can stay with us.."Maggie says
"Really?..thank you!"eddie smiles a bit
Richie helps Eddie walk out to the car and they all get in the car and they get to Richie's house.. richie takes Eddie up to his room..
"Thanks r-rich.."
"Of course..anything for Eddie spaghetti"richie winks then laughs a bit
Eddie also laughs a bit "you always find a way to cheer my up" he smiles a bit
"Well it's my job to make sure spaghetti is happy...or at least try to..."richie smiles and bit,sits down on his bed and stares at the ground...
"Richie..."
"Yeah?"richie replies
"T-that k-kiss....I-it meant something...I-it wasn't a s-stupid joke...I just wanted you to know that..."Eddie looks at him and sits next to him...
"It d-did?.."richie is surprised cuz he never thought someone as amazing like Eddie would ever love him...every since they first meet richie felt like his life was complete with Eddie in it...
"Yeah"eddie chuckles nervously
Richie has never felt this happy...he has always dreamed of this to happen...he always wanted to kiss Eddie...ever since they first meet...Eddie was so kind,smart,caring,and protective...richie looks at Eddie and smiles then holds his hand...
"you know eds.....I like you...I really really do...I've liked you ever since we first meet...your just so smart..caring...and you are always there for me when I need you..."richie smiles
Eddie is shocked "wait r-really?..."
"Yeah.."richie looks down
Eddie smiles "well I l-like you too..."
Richie looks at him and Eddie looks back...richie leans closer to him and Eddie does the same...they kiss..one..soft lovely kiss..it isn't much but it makes both of the boys happy
