He sat in the cold dark room smiling. The cold was growing yet he ignored it. It was getting closer and closer the time. He could see the small flame flickering off in the distant. Another distraught soul was coming close to the end. This was going to be fun.

"Ouch!".

I stumbled and cursed underneath my breathe shakily. My hand tightened around the small flashlight I had. Pointing it in front of me I let out a shiver. It was a bad idea, I warrant that. Trying to kill yourself in a dark cold Forrest in the middle of the night, well it's a crappy thought. But when I had decided it earlier that day, I just didn't care anymore. I shivered and bit my lower lip. Keep moving Madeleine.

I continued walking slowly shining my flashlight at the dead tree's. That was when I saw a large bleak branch nearby. Why, that looked like a nice one. I stopped my track's and set a small stool on the ground. Then out of my bulky coat came out a noose, which I tied around the branch.

Letting the flashlight drop to the ground, I stepped up on the stool. Positioning myself, I slowly tied the other end of the noose around my neck.

This was it. All this planning was about to pay off. I gulped and closed my eye's. I could now forget about it all. Forget about all the pain.

"Don't do it Madeleine Mason. I can set you free".

It was a loud whisper that made my eye lid's fly open. That was when I felt the noose pried of around my neck. Frustrated and scared I swiveled on my stool. There in the darkness, were a pair of red glowing eyes.

From it came the same voice I had just heard.

"Come with me and see The Midnight Circus".

That was where it all started.
