Isobel's P.O.V.

I stared at him with a blank face. I shouldn't have to explain myself to him at all, we were just two strangers anyways. I don't owe him anything. I know I am coming off very rude right now, but it's just the best for the both of us.

"Do I have to?" I asked, looking anywhere but his face.

"I mean I'd like an explanation as it would help ease my mind." He says softly.

Now I feel really bad because he is probably overthinking it.

I sigh, "I was in a rush, had to meet up with someone at the my art studio and I had such little time to go get my car as well as make a stop at my apartment."

"Didn't have enough time to even leave a note with your information on it and a reason why you had to go so suddenly?" He asks in an annoyed tone.

"I don't get why it would have mattered, Niall."

"I wanted to see you again."

Wait, what? Did he say he wanted to see me again?

I looked at him to see if there was any hint of playfulness on his face or that he was just joking around. I waited another thirty seconds for him to say "I'm kidding!" or to laugh in my face at least.

I gulped and asked, "You wanted to see me again?"

He nods, scratching the back of his neck.

"I'm sorry that I left without a goodbye. I should have left a note or at least woken you up, I was just in a rush and didn't think saying goodbye would have mattered." I said, playing with my fingers.

"Of course it mattered. Plus, I was excited to wake up to see your gorgeous face, the first thing I'd see in the morning and would have been the highlight of my day." He says with a wink.

I smiled, feeling my cheeks get hot with the blood rushing to them fast. He's quite a charmer, I'll give him that.

"Shut up." I say playfully.

"Let me cook you something, yeah?" He asks while taking out some pans to put on the stove.

"Oh no, I was just here for my dress plus I don't want to be such a bother." I say, grabbing my dress heading towards the door.

"No, no I insist. Please? You would be making it up to me by leaving me with no goodbye." He says cheekily, pouring water in the pot.

I sigh, "Fine, I guess I could stay for a bit.."

Putting down my stuff back down on the chair, I take a deep breath in and out. It is just for a little bit, Iz. Plus, he is being really nice by cooking something for you and you don't have to cook yourself dinner back home. I watch him busy himself around the kitchen, taking a real good look at him.

I don't understand why he wanted me to stay. I don't understand why I seemed so intriguing to him back at the nightclub. I don't understand why he didn't just admit to looking at me. I don't understand this at all.

This is too complicated. At least for my life, it is.

I can't get myself involved with him, at least romantically. My last relationship was years ago and I just don't see any reasons for me to start dating when I'm just building up my career. Niall is an absolute gentleman and seems like an amazing dude, but I won't be enough for him. I bet he has a bunch of models and actresses after him anyways.

"Are you allergic to anything, Iz?" He asks, taking me out of my train of thought.

"I don't think so, thank you for asking." I reply to him.
