Luna Lux

chapter 3

                                          On Monday I woke up extra early so I could get ready and then call the headmaster before I needed to leave for school. While I was finishing fixing my hair I got the paper out with the number on it. I grabbed my bag and phone then headed downstairs to fix something for breakfast. As soon as I was set down at the table I dialed the number. Before I could talk myself out of it I pushed the call button. It rang three times before it was picked up. " hello" came the deep smooth voice of who I assumed was the headmaster. " Hi this is Lux young I received a letter of acceptance from you and it said I could call this number if I had any questions." I said nervously. " yes miss young let me just pull up your file real quick, one moment. " he says sounding oddly excited. I hear typing in the background before he's back on the line. " so you are being offered a full scholarship and if you wish I can go ahead and make you a schedule and get you transferred to our high school for your last year." he said. I thought about it for a second and kind of figured it would be easier to just go ahead. " yeah that would be fine. When will I start?" I asked figuring that it would probably take a few days before I could start. " you can come in today. Just come straight to my office and I'll give you your schedule and a tour of the school." he said. " Okay I'll come in today, thank you Mr. Thompson." I said before hanging up. 

                              After Lux hung up I immediately called down to the guard at the gate to inform him that we would be having a new human student enrolling today and that her name was Lux Young. Since this is a private school for our four packs we didn't let just anyone enroll. The only humans we had enrolled here were mates to memebers of our packs. Other than those few cases humans were not aloud. After I settled that I called the others to inform them that Lux had called and would be coming in today to start. " Finally I had Jaxson put that she could call you anytime on the paper. I was really starting to think that she wouldn't call." Elias said sounding relieved to know that the plan had worked so far. " It was the weekend though and she probably didn't want to ruin anyone's weekend with questions about the school." Antonio said." I agree she probably didn't think it would make much sense to call on the weekend. I mean not many schools would answer the phone then. Luca agreed. " I guess." Elias replied seeing where they were coming from. " I'm on my way now I want to be there when she arrives." Luca said excitedly. " No you can see her in class!" Sebastian said with his alpha voice. " Don't even try to order me around Sebastian she's my mate too and you have no right to try to order me away from her!" Luca yelled down the phone. His wolf clearly trying to come out at the thought of someone trying to keep him away from his mate. Even if that person was one of her other mates. "Luca man calm down he just meant we shouldn't overwhelm her." Elias says trying to calm him down. " Besides what if she recognizes us from the other night and freaks out." Antonio throws in. Luca takes a deep breath holding it for a few seconds before releasing it. "you're right, I'm sorry I just really want to see her." he says with a heavy sigh. " We know Luca we all want to be with her she's our mate too." I say. " Okay we'll all get to see her soon. Seb did you make sure Luca and I have the same classes as her?" Elias asked. " Yes and she has Antonio for homeroom and 5th hour." I replied. " Good then everything is settled. " he said. after that everyone hung up and I told my secretary to send Lux in when she got here. 

                  As I pulled to the gate of the school I start questioning if this was a good idea or not. I already struggle with anxiety and I didn't even have friends at my old school so why did I think changing schools in my last year was a good idea. When I stop at the gate a guard came out and asked for my ID. After showing it to him he opened the gate. As I pull up to the school I saw that the parking lot and courtyard were both packed with students which did nothing for my nerves. I finally found a parking spot and pulled in. I did not want to get out and walk passed all those people. With a deep breath I grabbed my bag and got out of the car. As I walked passed everyone I tried to keep my head down but it seemed like everyone was staring at me. Surely not though. I mean there are tons of students here why would they notice me. Finally I made it to the doors. Once was inside I realized I didn't know where the office was here. Any reasonable person would have found someone to ask but not me. No I just decided to start walking and hope I found it. 

                     After walking around for what seemed like forever I finally found it. When I entered the office it was surprisingly normal. I walked up to the desk not entirely sure what I was supposed to say. The lady behind the desk noticed me before I could decide and said with a warm smile " you must be Lux". " Y-yes." i replied meekly a little surprised that she knew my name. Surely she doesn't know the names and faces of every student here. They have a surprising number of students for a school with a reputation of not admitting a lot of people. " go right in dear." she said kindly. It relieved a bit of my nerves. As I opened the door my nerves came rushing back. When I walked in the first thing I saw was a huge window over looking the courtyard below. The room it's self was very plain with a large oak desk in front of the window and a few bookshelves and filing cabinets along the walls. " You must be Lux." a deep voice said startling me. I almost forgot that I was in here to talk to the headmaster.  "uh yes I'm Lux, the secretary told me to just come in." I said. " why don't you have a seat and we can discuss any questions you might have and go over your schedule before I take you on a tour of the school." he says. his voice washes over me and I feel my body relax. ' how odd' I think to myself  seeing as I'm not even comfortable around my family most of the time let alone a complete stranger. I nod and head over to one of the chairs in front of the desk. 

                     " So do you have any questions?" he asks looking at me expectantly. I didn't really I just wanted to start my classes and blend into the back ground like at my last school. I shook my head no and he nodded. " okay well here's your schedule and I'll walk you through it as I show you around." he says as he rises from his chair. I jump up and we walk out together. We go down my schedule as he shows me around. I'll probably follow this same route until I know the school better. " And this is your homeroom you'll come here when the bell rings in the morning and you'll end your day here. you can go in now if you'd like." he says before he walks away. seeing him walk away and just leaving me here makes me sad for some reason but I just brush it off. I sigh before turning and opening the door only to immediately freeze. No way is this happening.
