Denki's Pov

Morning time, another day, another Monday. And the start of another week at UA.

If I'm being honest I don't really know how I got into the hero course. Sure my quirk is pretty powerful but compared to some of the other kids I've met... Of course, I try not to doubt myself too much. If top hero's believed I was capable of being in 1A, then I guess I will try to believe in myself.

Third person

Denki walked into the kitchen wearing his uniform and foundation to cover up his bruises, but no sooner than he got there his mother was yelling at him and abusing him like she did most days.

"You're useless Denki Kaminari! A useless, worthless nobody!"

Denki's mother slapped him across the face leaving behind a big red handprint. Great, another mark he'd have to cover up before he got to school.

She pushed him against the wall strangling him.

"I didn't go through nine months of pain just to give birth to a stupid shit like you. You bring another boy home again and claim he's your boyfriend then you will never be welcome in this house again! Now get out of my sight you faggot!"

He exited the house and went on his way. He pulled his bag in front of him and unzipped it. Denki pulled out his pocket mirror ready to cover up his hand marked face and bruising neck when a strange boy around his age stopped in front of him.

The boy was pale, with lilac purple hair and eyes. He had bags under his eyes but for some reason they made him look even more handsome. While Denki was looking at the boy the words his mother echoed in his mind, and not wanting to be kicked out Denki went to walk past the boy. However, before he could the boy grabbed his hand.

In a smooth, deep voice the boy asked a question.

"Do you know where I can find the police station?"

Not wanting to be rude, and in case the guy was in danger, Denki answered.

"Sure, just head down this street here. Take a left turn, walk forward until you reach the intersection, and then go right, walk up to the candy shop on your right and-

Denki was interrupted, and before he could do anything the boy told him

"Follow me"

And everything went blank.
