the moment xiao took a hold of your hand, he slowly spiraled in your deepest kept memories.
the contract you made, the family you had, all those many distant memories.

"i'm sorry you have to keep up with me like this." a younger male said as (first name) dressed his wound.
"i'll keep up with you forever, you're my baby brother." she said as she laughed, "does it hurt?"
"..no" he said as he looked away, "you big liar" (first name) said and flicked the younger male's forehead. "ow!"
"we're going to stay here for awhile, yue." she sighed, "just until the rain stops, so we can head back to the village."
"i'm sorry i'm sickly" he said, "we wouldn't be out here if we didn't need to get medicinal herbs." her brother explained, "the archon war will be taking place soon too.."
'wait.. the archon war happened 2000 years ago..' xiao thought to himself as he was immerged in this woman's memories.
"our lord morax will protect us, yue." she said as she finished dressing his wound up. "don't go too far."
"i wouldn't be able to take it." she said as she gave a painful laugh, "i won't be going anywhere."

"yue! yue!" (first name) called out as his brother suddenly passed out in the middle of the road. frantically shaking his brothers hand, "please.. don't leave me now.." she cried out, she looked around yet no soul was in sight.
yue's body started to shiver but he was still unconscious, (first name) was starting to crumble in panic, yet she remember that one spell a peddler wrote in her notebook.
'only call this out on your most crucial times, miss.' she recalled what the peddler said, but to no mind, her brother was much more important.
she quickly took out the notebook and recited the spell, not thinking what more she can expect.
"Endisti faliti untis ladiris
Rondi nus Fagi nus
lekta nontiras"looking all around after summoning the spell, still there was no sight of a soul nearby. (first name) started to cry as her legs wobbled in fear.
"hey kid." a cold voice lingered from the back
the woman quickly turned her head to see who it was. a rather tall figure with golden hair walk towards them.
"please save my brother.." she pleaded as she was holding her brother's hand.
"i don't do wishes for free." the man smiled, "what do you say, kid? you wanna make a deal with a demon?"
"the answer will probably be yes, you did summon out a demon!" he laughed loudly.
still being unable to focus, (first name) grabbed the demons hand and pleaded, "i'll make a deal! please help my brother first!"
the demon smiled as he snapped his fingers, air suddenly gushed in and healed the pain the small boy was experiencing.
"..are you a vision holder?" she asked
"my my. personal questions later! we have to write down our deal first!" he said as he bent down and stared straight at her. "tell me, what is it you desire?"
"i want my brother to get better." she sternly said.
"it wont be that easy! even i couldn't lift whatever this mortal had. how about you wish for something different?" he grinned.
"but that's all i wanted. i need my brother to get better."
the demon grabbed locks of her (hair color) hair and said, "you have quite the life. you're going to live long enough, and your fate!"
"glorious!" he exclaimed
"what does that mean?" she asked him.
"how about you exchange your fate with this fella here?" he said pointing towards the younger male.
"...exchanging my fate?" she mumbled
"this little one has a terrible life ahead of him," he said as he went closer to your ear, "why not ease his burden,"
"by literally carrying his problems!"
"what do you think? its an offer you cant refuse!" he said once more and grinned.
"then ill do it." she suddenly said, with no hesitation.
"but whats in it for you?" she asked him
"smart girl! i was just getting there."
"it's not much," he smiled at her as he offered to carry her little brother
"then what is it?"
"your life span."
"my what??"
"give me half your life span. in exchange for granting this contract."
"is that all?"
"more than enough." the demon smiled as he stopped her from walking
"now. to bind this contract.." he said as he placed his palm over your nape. "it's going to hurt a bit." he said as it glowed silver bright and left a mark.
"wish granted, mortal." he said as the smaller male woke up as he was being carried, piggy back style.
"who.. are you? (first name).. where are we..?" yue drowsily said
"yue, you're going to get better soon." (first name) whispered.
as xiao was holding (first name)'s hand as she was asleep, she was visibly whimpering as a few tears escaped her eyes from her slumber. xiao slowly let go of her hand, as he thought he'd seen enough for today.
what he couldn't fathom right at the moment was..
"this woman.. lived before the archon war.."
