Claire Estelle

"One mocha latte please, thank you" I softly told the barista and waited for my change,

"Can I have your name please?" the barista asked while smiling back at me, I then nodded but before I had to answer, someone did it for me

"Sean, less ice please" a deep voice began, he flashed his eye smile, those golden hazels almost disappearing as his eyes are almost squinting.

I turned to him and glared, "That was my coffee, mine",

"You're welcome" he has this smug look on his face, it would make you want to punch it, too. But then I remembered what happened a week ago, I forgot to say thank you, and maybe this is a way of making him feel that I was grateful, so I didn't argue anymore, I owe him. I wonder why he's always where I am, and so I glared straight at him to make him feel uncomfortable

"What's with the look?" he raised his right eyebrow, while raising both of his hands,

"Are you following me?"

"Dream big, I just live down the block" he sipped the coffee that was supposed to be mine

"That mannerless mouth makes me want to high jump kick you, right in the face"

"How aggressive, but still, that suggestion is considered"

I scoffed, who knew the man who saved me from a creepy one, doesn't differ from him, though he isn't creepy, he's just as annoying. But this is where it starts right? the start of two people, getting to know each other,

Says the I-think-is-a-phrase 'friendship starts by the dropping of formalities'

"But hey, wanted to know if you're free this Friday? I was wondering I could tour you around since you just moved, is that right?"

"I moved here a year ago, thanks for the excuse to make me say yes though" I laughed inside, I mean wasn't it cute? A man who'll think about excuses just to spend time with you. He looked disappointed but he hid it with his signature smile, before he could say something, I cut him off

"Yes, I'm free this Friday, where will we tour around first?"

"I was thinking we could go to the newly opened cafe nearby, what do you say?"

"I love coffee and pastries", was all I said and it was unbelievably surprising he got my answer right, he knew it was a yes.

"Pick you up at seven o'clock, you can dress informally, we're not going there for an acquaintance party"

I laughed, he's very clever. His humour is amazing, he was like an all-in-one-coffee, only this time it is a man,

And I could already feel my jaw getting numb from all the smiling.
