I walked down the school hallways with Ally. Our now almost black eyes darted from person to person. I looked at Haley and smiled. I could hear every single heartbeat- fast and loud. Sometimes I just wanted to attack them all. Kill them and drink their blood, but Ally and I weren't like that. We considered ourselves "vegetarians" since we only drank the blood of animals. Yes, we were related to the Cullens. They were very good friends of ours.

Carlisle was the one who turned me. I was dying after being attacked and raped on the streets then left to die. The pain was awful when he bit me. It felt like you were setting my body on fire. Eventually I became a who I am. I have one of the most unique powers. I can control the elements. Wind, water, the earth, and fire. Ally on the other hand, can shock you with one touch much like our cousin Kate. It was like a tazer but much worse. When she first didn't know how to use her power she shocked me multiple times.

It hurt like bloody hell. Eventually she controlled her powers. Carlisle had to help me with my powers. I could control all of the elements and I didn't know what to do or how to use them. It was a lot to take in at once. Especially with being a newborn.

We both had lived in London and Carlisle introduced us to each other. W instantly hit it off and decided to move in together. We figured it's be easier for the both of us. We moved to the outskirts of London so we could be near wooded areas. I could also help Ally with her thirst because she was still having trouble. We started going to high school again. It was different, going to so many different schools and learning all the same material. It sucked.

I sat down in my desk and turned to Ally. I crossed my legs and smiled at her. She smiled back and looked up at the "popular" boy as he walked in. He stared at us. He always did. Ally and I were the most beautiful ones in the school. Mainly because we were vampires but we were still beautiful. We kept to ourselves though. Not bothering to talk to many except the teachers and a few students when we had to.

I sighed as I sat through the science lesson. Things I had already learned hundreds of times. Since I was over 500 years old. Haley was just a few hundred years younger. Still trying to become used to not eating the humans. She had trouble with it still. I could tell because whenever a human walked by her she gulped and hugged her desk. Close to breaking it.

I laughed and shook my head at her. I mouthed the word "newborn" at her and she stuck her tongue out at me. We maybe 500 years old but we still acted like children. We were only 18 when we were changed. We loved to live in the moment even though we'd be living forever. We loved to act like children. And just have fun.

Finally the lesson ended and the bell rang. Ally and I walked outside and started towards our flat. "Lauren. We need to hunt soon." Ally whispered to me. I nodded still walking. "We'll go later tonight. Let's stay at the flat until dark." She nodded walking at a quick pace. Suddenly I stopped. Smelling something I had never smelled before. I turned to my right, looking into the small shop there. That's where I first saw him. He was tall with black hair in a quiff and he had a little bit of scruff on his face. My eyes were locked on him. I couldn't control myself and before I knew it I was walking to him, my throat burning, craving the blood running in his veins. Ally ran to me and pulled me back, slamming me against the wall. It shook slightly and dirt fell onto our heads.

She stared me straight in the eyes. "What the fuck are you doing Lauren?" I shook my head "I don't know. I couldn't help myself. He just smelled so... Good." "You're not like that though Lauren." I sighed looking away from her. "I know. I know. I don't know what came over me. I smelled him and I was walking towards him and I don't know what came over me. It's like I was someplace else. I'm sorry."

She looked at me kind of funny. "You've never acted that way Lauren. Not since you were a newborn."

I sighed nodding. "I know something about his smell was just so... Different."
