The war was going quite well the shinigami was the ace of the varden at this point they were just relying on the shinigami rather then eragon

Speaking of eragon his relationship with saphira very quickly making izuku's work worth it

Murtagh was also helping the varden yet again thanks to Izuku who was able to break murtagh's oath with ease much to the gratitude of both eragon and nasuada

"Why do you work so much to help us you could just send your support in battle yet you gave eragon the ability to find love murtagh his freedom weapons armor extra men the list goes on why help us so much" arya asked

"Because its the right thing to do you notice whenever we capture a city my people go in first they make sure we don't do damage to the city itself we make sure the inhabitants are comfortable and we protect them my shinigami are the good guys I aim to keep us looking as such" I said she stared at him in awe

"What is the requirements for joining the shinigami" she asked but I shook my head

"I refuse to take you in your people need you after the war I will think about it but not now my shinigami are leaving alagaesia after the war keep that in mind we are only gaining the ability to defend our home from any and every threat" I said

"I understand but I want your guarantee I can join after the war" arya said I started at her for a moment then sighed

"If this war ends and you still wish to join us then you may" I said she smiled and started to walk away but turned

"Thank you Izuku I'm proud to call you my friend" arya said before continuing on her way

"And I'm proud to call you mine" I said as I went on my way to prepare my report for the next meeting of the leaders nasuada finds my shinigami a headache because they refuse to follow her orders they will only follow the leaders of the corps I met artoria who became my first since she was a king she has experience I decided she would be best to be my first lieutenant

"Well" I said

"We are right outside Dras Leona and then we head for the capitol" nasuada said

"Do we have a plan" I asked

"Yes and it revolves around you and eragon" nasuada said

"Go on" I said

"Joed found an underground entrance into the city eragon and arya will take a small contingent into the city via that entrance to open the gates you will be riding saphira and helping murtagh keep the main guard occupied" nasuada said

"I have a bunch of questions" I said

"I'm all for them" nasuada said

"First question why am I riding saphira and eragon going into the cave shouldn't it be the other way around" I said

"Well because your more important than eragon you are the one who has the best chance at beating the mad king" nasuada said

"So o asks again eragon has a bunch of elves why am I riding saphira" I asked

"Two reasons first your stronger than basically all of the elves and the second reason is again your too important I kinda wish you were bonded to saphira over eragon because your more powerful than he is and she trusts you the most for obvious reasons and lastly I doubt anyone would get too far when you are on the back of a giant fire breathing lizard" nasuada said

"What do eragon and saphira say" I asked

"I was the one to recommend the plan" eragon said I turned to saphira

"I'm not gonna say no not after everything you've done for me" she said i sighed

"fine I'm in but eragon has to take at least two from the shinigami corps I don't want to really think about what happens if the idiot ends up dead" i said

"Agreed" nasuada said

I was now grumbling as I sat on saphira's back i felt so disrespectful she was someone else's dragon yet here I am I had the master excalibur at my hip as opposed to my zanpakuto as usual murtagh who knew about my discomfort was poking fun at me

"If you don't shut up I'm gonna bind you with enkidu and begun to cut you apart before killing you" i said he paled and quickly shut up he knew i wasn't one for idle threats

"We will now began good luck Izuku" murtagh said I just grumbled in response as we took flight

"Your better at riding then eragon is he had to hold my neck you don't even have to move from the riding position" saphira commented

"What are ya trying to do replace your rider" I joked and she did a barrel roll

"That does nothing to me" i said she growled generally that got eragon to shut up but this is not eragon

"I was just messing with you anyway" I said before leaning in and growing serious

"Ready" I asked

"Always" saphira said with a snarl of excitement as we charged into the battlements the master excalibur which I drew in hand and I cut down three men at once

"Remember all we have to do is keep them busy not kill them all we can do that after eragon gets out and I can return you to him" I said she grunted in response as we took another swing

When we got the message from eragon and we landed we found ourselves surrounded........temporarily before they all got swords lodged in them launched by Izuku using his babylon tower

"I'll take charge and get the city under control" I said he nodded mounting saphira who took flight immediately I changed out the master excalibur for my zanpakuto tying it to my hip

"That feels better" i said as I drew my blade and gathered the troops before leading the charge thirty minutes later the city was ours

Eragon had fun listening to saphira sing praises about how i was a better rider and how I could give better instructions she would go on and on and I thing she did it specifically to annoy her rider and it was working

"Nasuada I am never doing that again" I said

"Why saphira said you did well better than eragon" nasuada said

"That isn't the problem the program is that I feel like I am disrespecting eragon by doinh so never ask that out of me again" I said before turning and leaving the office
