I drifted off into sleep as I close my eyes and fades to black.

The rainwater drips from outside the window as I open my eyes slowly. I slide myself back against the wall to survey the room. The cold gust of the wind breezes in the window, causing the curtains to fly in. The room shivers from the coldness. I hug myself as I stood up off the bed as walked around. My hand gliding over the wooden chipped desk. I breathed in the smell of chopped wood and cold grass. I lightly shook as a loud bang claps beside me.

I startle as I turn to the hallway. I brushed off the noise as I walked through the dark painted walls of the room. The paintings looked like it was painted yet it was from a long time ago.

"Maybe it's an antique.." I mumbled quietly to myself as I break the eerie silence. I continued on walking down the hallway as I took a sharp left turn. The floor creaked at every step I take, cautiously looking from side to side. My mind starts to feel loopy the more I get to the end of the hallway.

A sudden flash of white light shunned from below the cracks on the door ahead of me. I block the light from my eyes as I continued taking steps forward. My heartbeat gets louder as I grew more and more anxious. My eyes are slowly adjusting to the light that dimmed down. I reached my hand on the doorknob as I start to twist it. I pushed the door forward and looked around as I start closing myself in. The slam of the door snaps my mind out of drowsiness.

"You're late darling," a rashy but smoothing voice tunes in. The woman in front of me loops the piece of red thread into what seems like a ripped open pillowcase. The mysterious woman lifts up her face as she gives a strong grin.

"Mom?.." I laboriously spoke in a worried tone. I rush forward to the woman as I knelt down to give one long glance at her, sucking in my words.

"Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be dead?" continuing on my words as I trip over the words as my eyes start to give in to the tears.

"Have you checked the others?" as blue eyes meet with my worried ones. My worry turned into confusion.  I open my mouth but words couldn't come out. Panic mixed with confusion grew as I shakingly asked.

"What are you talking about mom?" Few long pauses came between my words.

I stood up and backed away to the door. I tried the doorknob, finally giving in I gave my mom one last glance, mouth curving more into a frown then in confusion.  Footsteps echoes as I slowly walked to the door next by.

"That's weird.. The door wasn't there when I first walked by here," As the silence dragged through as my confusion grew and grew. Quiet but loud pitched laughs ranged throughout the hallway as I bushed my hands against the door. My uneasiness grew more intense the closer I get to the door and the louder the laughs get. I breathe in and out as I took a mere guess that the laughs are the 'others', my mom was talking about.

That's my question. How is my Mom still alive and right behind me? How did I even get here? Is this a dream? I recalled my memories as I remembered sleeping on my friends as we are strapped in a building. There were just many things that went through my mind and life right now and it makes me wary and confused.

Moments went by as hesitation grew and grew as I turned to open the doorknob. Creaks drew from the door hinges as I placed my arm inside to reach for the light. I am still aware that this is some kind of dream and knowing that I opened many doors then, I couldn't risk seeing it reveal darkness. Steps sounded as I stepped in to reach for the light switch— blindly. My mind flashes back to my mom. What is she trying to tell me.

I sunk onto the door as I held in my breath. Deep steps were absorbed by the smooth surface of the tiles floor. Sweat dripped from under my neck as I straighten out my back.

I took quiet steps closer to the other side as the door behind me closes.

"Damn this looks familiar," I talk to myself as I turned back. My eyes widen in terror as I stared at the overgrown weird bodily creature a couple of feet in front of me.

I tripped backward into the closed door as I reach my hand. Fumbling with the door now as I shook my arms. I kept a distance but maintained eye contact with the skeleton, slobber dripping to the floor. My nose closed up as I attempted to catch my breath. My shoulders start to get cold as my vision starts to blur. The clacking of the bones reaches behind my neck as my last breath disappears.

Groans and hot breath swiped against my rough dirty skin as I space out.

"Did you check the children?" my mom's voice reverberated from the skeleton. Loud screeches came as I tipped backward and fell into darkness. My eyes start to wander off as my eyelids start to grow heavier.

"Lianne!" Ash's voice grew in volume. My breath escaped into my lungs as I jumped back up. Sweat trickling down from my head. I look around to drift my memories back to my dream. I turned my head towards Ash and the others, every face carrying a worried look.

"What happened? - I knew I fell asleep but how long was I asleep for?" I take deep breaths between pauses as I regain calmness. I slump against the was as I retry to focus my eyes back again.
