Many people across the furthest reaches of the land have heard of my mother, Katerina Petrova, or as she's more commonly known, Katherine Pierce.
The picture painted of my mother is smudged and marred with darkness and cruelty by others, but that isn't the reality of the mother I knew. To me, her canvas was painted with light oils and compassion.
So, here I am to set the record straight and clear the mist of judgement clouding my mother:
It's time to tell her story. Our story. My story. For I am Katerina's Daughter.
