I wish these people would hurry up and leave, they have been getting ready to go for an hour now, and I’m growing impatient! I was drumming my fingers on the cool grass as I laid under a bush. Tonight we would be hitting one of those mediocre family houses, you know, like one of those families where they just seem "perfect", dad and mom with well-paying jobs, son is a varsity athlete, good grades, and the daughter being one of those gorgeous cheerleaders you can’t take your eyes off of at a game. Honestly, it's sickening really, at least to me, in this line of work, I can find out things just from looking around each ones rooms, and one thing about these kind of families, if they seem perfect, that means they have secrets, you know, the kind you don't want the other family member’s knowing, cheating on tests, cheating on each other, or the rare case of the kid getting a STD from a fellow student (they never really think of hiding those kind of papers better huh?). All they are, are people with as many flaws as any of us, but they act as if they are above people...well, usually, but I'd prefer not to think they all are like that, eases the consciences. "You getting bored as well? You seem pretty distant" I heard someone say next to me, jumping and whipping my head to look at them, but it was only my partner in crime, Mary. She started laughing, amused by my reaction to her sudden appearance. I gave her a glare, looking back at the house, no change yet. "Where did you come from, I thought you were grabbing everything we need?" she giggles a little, shifting on her arms as we laid down under the bush. "I did, figured we would not need much, plus, it’s pretty easy to grab everything when I laid it out the day before" "mmh, ok, well, did you have to scare me like that?" She looked over with a smug smile on her lips, propping her head on her closed hand. "I didn't even know you scared so easily, I’m not sure I’m talking to my partner right now" "oh hahah very funny, now, if your done joking, what can you tell from out here?" she went to look back at the house, still holding the smile. "well, from what I can tell, getting in will be pretty simple, the daughter seems to always keep her window unlocked, we can get through there using the garage roof, as for any on-the-spot valuables, I saw a few trinkets here and there in the living room, a few possible goodies in the kitchen, but I have the feeling the better loot will be in the areas of the house we can't see through the windows" "mmh...I don’t the sound of that risk, too much stuff is in there covered up, if there is any, this could be a bust for all we know, and quite frankly, I'd rather not try this if that's the case" Mary just went and shake’d her head. "oh, will you just have faith in me? I was spying on some of the family as they left for school and work for the past few days, I have been noticing they wear a lot of jewelry that looks like it could get us some good cash, so the bedrooms are a priority, and you don’t have to worry your little head about this being a bust" as she finished that, she patted my head as if I was a pet. I swatted her hand away, showing annoyance in my eyes, all she did was giggle again. "Alright alright, I see now, I'm sorry I ever doubted you, please do forgive me mistress" "alright, no need to been sarcastic dude...oh! look, there leaving the house!" she pointed to the house, the whole family heading out of the house and going to their car, all of them dressed sharply. I gave a sigh, seeing the wait to take action was finally over "finally, about damn time, I've been waiting in this bush for three hours!" "I doubt it was that long" Mary said, rolling her eyes. We waited for the family to leave out of there drive way, then down the street, we made sure no one else was around to see us, then we got out of the bush, Mary carrying a satchel, and handing another one for me. "ready to grab some loot Mary?" "Yep lets do this Joseph!"
