Eren's palms were sweaty. Who knew a job interview could be so nerve-wracking? He sat in the cool office space of the real estate office, the A/C on full blast to combat the desert heat. The air was doing nothing to dry the clamminess. He took a few deep breaths to try and cut down the adrenaline. He been getting looks from some of the office workers, which was making his nerves worse. He didn't realize they were staring at him in interest; a handsome, young looking professional man with a fresh haircut and a suit was bound to get the attention of the women in the office. Eren fiddled with a pen in his hand to try and distract himself as he waited for his interview. As he looked around, he noticed how upscale the building was. He hadn't really known what to expect going in, but he was pleased by the modern décor.

A few moments went by, and the sound of heels clicking towards him caught Eren's attention. He turned his head up, and a lean, pale but pretty woman approached him. Her straight dark locks were carefully parted in the middle, framing her face with rather striking blue eyes. She smiled at him, extending out her hand as she stopped in front of him.

"Eren Jaeger?"

"Ah, yes, h-hello," Eren stood as he took her hand, hoping he had willed the clammy feeling away for long enough as they exchanged a firm shake. She was pretty, no doubt, but not nearly as striking as Levi. At least, not to him.

"It's so nice to meet you in person. I'm Frieda Reiss, we spoke on the phone."

"Yes, hello." She seemed nice, and her kind demeanor put him at ease. "Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity."

"Oh, certainly. We're really excited to talk to you more about the job. I won't be conducting your interview today; you'll be speaking with my father. Please, follow me."

They began their walk down the hallway, and Frieda began to give him a brief tour of the offices and rooms they walked past.

"These are the offices of our realtors. We have five agents currently, but they are great at what they do. They help broker the sale and purchasing of a lot of commercial property in the city. We have a few meeting rooms as well, but our offices are fairly simple. We try to keep it that way, we've always been a very tight knit company," They made a turn around a corner as she continued. "We actually were a family business for several decades. It wasn't until recently that we began really branching out to expand our staffing needs."

"Really?"

Frieda nodded, giving him a small smile. "Yes. So you're probably part of the second wave of people being interviewed outside of the initial family."

"That's...exciting?" Eren offered. He wasn't all too sure how respond.

Frieda laughed. "I know, right? Do you have any questions for me, by the way? I'm talking your ear off, here."

"Well, if I may ask, what do you do here?"

"It's funny you ask. I'm actually the secretary at the moment. My father has always wanted me to take over the business," Frieda sighed, her smile tired. "But I'm not really into real estate. This was my job while I got through school. I said I'd stick around after I graduated, but now I've got my own job offer, so we need someone new. That's where you hopefully come in."

Eren understood that all too well, as he nodded. "Hopefully."

They stopped their walk in front of a heavy wooden door, and Frieda gently knocked on it.
