Narrator's POV ✦ฺ

"What is this?" Young Emma asks her siblings while staring at the dim hallway, her hands latching in the iron bars. Her curious green eyes shimmered. She tried to make out of something but all she can see are brick walls and a dark neverending passage.

Ray followed her curious glance and answered, "It's a gate. It connects the House to the outside." He leaned near the gate, eyeing any sign of movement within their vicinity.

"Outside, huh.." Emma tried to see more in the darkness by squinting her emerald eyes.

"We've never been outside." she added.

"That's because we've been here ever since we were born." A soft voice replied to Emma's question. Her piercing cyan eyes gazed beyond the gate. As if she was threatening something to move forward and reveal themselves.

"Mom always tells us, doesn't she?" Emma let go of the iron bar her hand was clasped to and turned to Norman. " 'Never go to the gate in the back of the forest because it's dangerous.' " Emma chanted what her mother says with a smile on her face.

"That's obviously a lie," Ray retorted with Iza agreeing on the back. Norman turned to the both of them.

"Really?" Iza nodded in response. Before Norman could reply, Emma piped in.

"Hey Ray! What do you want to do when you go outside?" Emma asked Ray that just stared at her.

Then he shrugged, "I don't know." Ray glanced at Emma and Iza. "What about you guys?" He added.

"I wanna ride a giraffe!" Emma's smile beamed as she shot both of her small hands in the air earning a scoff from Ray.

"Good luck with that."

"What do you want to do when we're outside?" the albino asked the expressionless looking bluenette, who hesitantly answered.

"I wanted to find a wolf." Ray churned in response from the girl. He was about to retort when she added.

"And be with my sisters." Emma glanced at her and noticed a soft glint in her light cyan eyes for a split second before it disappeared, returning to it's cold state. Ray turned to the narrow hallway of the gate and gripped the metal bars.

"I wonder how your sisters will react to that." Norman gave her a cheeky smile.

"I'm sure they'll be happy to hear that, Iza!" Emma chimed in and grabbed her hand, which bothered the bluenette a little.

Iza glanced up to the skies and the thought of her sisters passed by her mind.

'I know. And i want to keep it that way.'

'I want them to be happy'

"I wonder," Norman spoke, catching the attention of the three. The albino clasped his hand on the iron bar and stared off to the never ending darkness in the end of the hallway.
