Alternative 2 (Ending)

Sykkuno's Pov

"I love you.."

Although I was unconscious, I could hear it as clear as day, Corpse said it back, I feel happy that I was able to hear it. Maybe I can die peacefully now..

I opened my eyes and saw a place that I couldn't recognise, it was empty and just plain white. It was bright.

"H-Hello..?" My voice echoed back to me, I walked a little, stumbling upon a flower, it was familiar. It looked like the flower I threw up all the time, what was it doing here?

The flower petals from the flower slowly wilted in a way, it looked almost as if it.. evaporated? Into thin air. One after another petal wilted and disappeared into thin air until there was a few left, is this a signal that I'm dying or is it something.. else?

Three petals left in the flower.

Three..

Two..

One.

I stired and woke up in the same room as my last few moments with Corpse, am I alive? How am I not dead? I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "Sykkuno..? I-Is that really.. You? SYKKUNO." That voice, I could recognise it anywhere, that deep and gravely voice I first heard in school. Corpse wrapped his arms around me tightly, I was still half asleep, but I embraced the warmth of his hug. "I thought you were gone, Sy.." His voice sounded so dead in a way. He looked at me with teary eyes, he was crying.

I shakily placed my hand on his cheek and wiped his tears away, his mask was off, he rubbed his head against my hand. I smiled. "Sykkuno, you're really here." I nodded.

"I'm here, Corpse. I always will."

"I've.. been in a coma? For how long Corpse?" I placed his hand on mine. "You've been out for a month. I kept visiting you, in hopes you'd wake up, guess it was worth it." He smiled at me. A whole month? For that long?

"Before I went unconscious, I heard you say that you loved me, Corpse, did you.. actually mean that?" Of course he meant that, if not I'd be long dead, the flower wilted away too, but I honestly hope it's true. "Yes, I meant it, I meant everything." Corpse.. I love you.

He pulled me into a kiss, hugging my waist. I was surprised, I've always wanted this. I melted into the kiss and returned it, feeling his lips on mine made my heart race, I could feel myself blush a lot. Eventually, we needed to breathe, we pulled away and I hid my face with my hands, my scarf wasn't here to protect me today. Corpse laughed at my embarrassed expression, his laugh was as cute as ever. "I've missed you, Sy." I smiled at him before tackling him and wrapping my arms around him.

"I've missed you too."

"SYKKUNO! YOU'RE ALRIGHT!!" Rae and Toast ran into the room. Corpse told them I was awake, they probably freaked out. Rae and Toast both ran up and hugged me. "Ow, ow, too tight you guys, jesus." Rae giggled. "YOU MADE US WORRY SYKKUNO." Toast shouted slightly, good old Toast. "Haha, sorry about that."

It was nice to see all of them again, it felt like forever, well technically forever for them atleast. The doctors had to do a few more assessments before I could be discharged three days later. Corpse had been visiting me a lot more often, there was a slight awkwardness between us, but I honestly don't mind it. I can't wait to go home to see Bimbus soon.

"Wait up Corpse!" On our way home, Corpse had ran a distance and stood there, watching me try to catch up to him. "You should head out of your house more often, Sy." He laughed. "You don't go out that often either, how are you so fit?" It's unfair how he's more athletic than me despite him staying at home a lot like me. "I don't know." I could sense that he was smiling behind his mask, I just like seeing him happy. "Either way, it's still unfair!" I ran towards Corpse and pulled him into a hug, he hugged back and pat my head, giggling.

We walked into our house, Corpse moved into my house after I got discharged not so long ago, it was great having someone I love with me, other than Bimby.

Bingus and Bimbus were on the couch, Bimbus was asleep on Bingus side, Bingus was out too, they were adorable as usual. I went to shower before Corpse did and had my usual routine.

I sat on my bed, right next to Corpse, I placed my hand on his, scrolling through my phone quietly. "Sy, do you ever wonder what would've happened if you passed?" I looked up at him, he had plain expression on his face. "I never questioned it, if I did, I'd wanna be by your side throughout, maybe look after you, even if I'm not physically there. I don't want any of you to be sad." He smiled at me as I tugged onto my scarf, blushing slightly. "Aw, Sy, you're too wholesome." He laughed, I guess my answer wasn't so weird after all. He kissed me and I rubbed his cheek.

Corpse sleeps with me on the same bed everyday, he's always had trouble sleeping but he seems to be getting better, I'm not complaining about it though, I enjoy sleeping with him a lot. I layed down next to him, laying down on my back, Corpse had soon followed. "I love you, Sy." He kissed my forehead, Jesus I'll never get used to him saying that. "I love you too, Corpse." I giggled, I adjusted and layed on my side. He pulled me closer to him and buried his face into my hair, I pat his back and melted into his warmth.

"Good night Sy."

"Night Corpse. "
