Epilogue

I took another look in the mirror adjusting my dress  I closed my eyes tight trying to hold back the tears I felt escaping my eyes this is gonna be harder than I thought. I felt Trey wrap his arms around my waist holding me tight in his arms.

"Babe we gotta go the cars downstairs."

I turned to face him kissing him softly on the lips I put on my shades locked my hand in his and made my way to the limo.  The ride to the church  was silent which was to be expected I just pray I can get through this day. I felt Angel pulling to sit in my lap as I looked out the window, I picked her up as she stared into my face.

"Mommy why do you keep crying is your allergies messing up"

"No baby mommies crying because shes sad."

"Why are you sad?"

"Angel lets give mommy some space ok princess."

"Its ok Trey, mommy's sad cause she lost her best friend. Remember when you lost Tiffany and you cried cause you was hurt."

" Yeah"

"Well mommy lost her best friend and she's crying cause she's hurt?"

"maybe she's in the lost an found like Tiffany was we can go got her and you won't be sad no more."

"Oh honey I wish she was in the lost and found but mommys friend is gone."

she didn't say anything else she just buried her head in my chest and held me tight.

Its only been two weeks since we've been back from the Bahamas and its been the worst two weeks of my life as soon as we got back to LA my phone was blown up with missed cause from the hospital Tia was shot in the line of duty and I was listed as next of kin they needed me to identify the body.  Apparently she held on as long as she could but she died that morning taking a piece of me with her. Tia was one of my closet friends she's always had my back I feel like I've lost a sister.I keep kicking myself because I never even took the time to call to see why she didn't come with us on vacation I just blow it off I just want her to know Im sorry I failed her.

"Bre we're here. "

"Trey...I...I .....just cant do this?"

"Angel go stand outside with grandma let me talk to mommy for a sec."

"Ok daddy."

"Bre I know you don't want to see her like this none of us do but we owe it to her to say goodbye. "

"Trey had I tried calling her I could have sad my goodbyes with her still breathing I let her down the one time she needed me I wasn't there for her."

"Baby Tia knows you love her and she knows had you knew she was hurt you would have never left her side and I'll never leave yours lets go in and if its to much just tell me and I will take you out I promise."

Trey held out his hand for me to take and we made out way into the church.

The place was packed I think the whole police force was here even the mayor came Tia died a hero she apparently took a bullet saving lives. The usher escorted Trey, Angel, my mom and I to the front where Mike, Forrest, Porsha, August and Smilez was sitting Mike sat next to me holding my hand while Trey held the other. people got up and said the nicest things About Tia my heart almost stopped when I seen her ex Quincy get up and speak I haven't seen him in years. Everyone got up and said a speech leaving me last.

" You want me to go with you?"

"I can handle it."

Trey kissed me on my forehead as I got up I fixed my dress and made my way  to recite my speech I took a quick glance at Tias' s coffin she looked so beautiful and peaceful. I wish she had some family here both her parents are died and her brother hasn't been seen in years Darnells been strung out on drugs for years. I looked out into the crowded church instantly locking my gaze on Trey kissing a sleeping Angel.
