By age 5 the boys had two fangs, until like their dad who had four. Speedwagon just told them it was genetics.

Dilan the youngest son of Dio and (Y/n) died in a football game at age 15. His skull was crushed causing a brain hemorrhage. Despite being half-vampire, he still had weaknesses like a human. The brain damage prevented him from healing his wound properly. He died before knowing the truth about who his real father was.

3 years later

Daniel, 18, was looking for a book when he pulled one that leads to a secret room. He lit a couple of candles, to make it easier to see. And what he discovered was shocking. It was his late mother and a man he has never seen before.

"Mom?"

Observing the photo, he realized he was a spitting image of the man in the painting. He back away from the painting, when he tripped, he noticed a trunk beside the painting. Danny opened it, inside was a letter, a book. And a purple crochet shawl. He opened the letter first.

Dear kids,
You are probably reading this because you are finally of age or because you stumbled across the painting and the trunk. Either way, you were bound to discover the truth eventually. The man in the photo is Dio Brando, your father.

"Dio? The man that has been the enemy of the Joestar family? Is my father?"

If you heard of Dio before reading this, then you must know he was a ruthless man. However, I saw a different side of him, I saw he was a lost child that was too far gone. I do not know if I loved Dio, maybe I did love him and realized too late. The book contains more of your father's and I story. But you must know I hid the truth from you two for good reason. You two having a vampire in you, I did not want you to grow up hating the world like Dio or wanting to take power for yourselves. I asked Erina and Speedwagon to keep it a secret until you were old enough to understand. I don't regret having you two, I may not be with you in the flesh, but I am there in spirit,

Daniel ran out of the room with the letter in hand. He went to go confront Speedwagon and Erina. They were in the tea room, Danny stormed in-room slamming the letter on the table.

"Daniel what is this-" Erina spoke but was cut off

"Explain this!" Daniel said pointing at the letter

Speedwagon let out a deep sigh, "I knew this day would come"

"Explain it old man, is Dio Brando my father?"

Speedwagon closed his eyes, "yes"

Daniel grabbed his hair, he turns his head to see the oval frame that held a picture of Ethan and (y/n). He picked it, holding it in one hand.

"So who the hell is this man?"

"That is Ethan McArthur, he was your mother's fiance before he was killed by Dio."

Daniel slammed the picture frame down on the grown, making both Erina and Speedwagon jump.

"You mean to tell me, my mother slept with a vampire, found out she was pregnant with half-vampire babies, and wanted to keep that a secret?"

"That was her last wish, she wanted me to take care of you boys and that is exactly what I did," Speedwagon said raising his voice, "the reason I told you and your brother about Dio, was because you two deserved to at least know who the man was. He killed two good friends of mine, you know that."

Erina spoke up in her soft voice, "your mother just wanted what was best for you and your brother."

Daniel let a tear slip out, he grabbed the letter clenching it in his hand, "well Dilan is gone now, so wanting the best for him was a waste of time."

Daniel ran out of the house, running to his brother's grave.

Speedwagon sighed in frustration, "that was not how I wanted this conversation to go."

Erina grabbed his hand, "you did good raising those boys, they learned how to control their thirst at a young age, before being old enough to realize what they are. It's just a shame you couldn't come up with a better lie for their fangs"

Speedwagon laughed, "(y/n) did not prepare me for that."

It started to sprinkle, Dilan's
tombstone began to get wet.

"Hey bro, how you been?" Daniel asked, "you seen mom?"

Daniel held up the letter, "I discovered our dad is not our dad. He turns out Dio is our dad. You know, the man that killed Speedwagon's friends? Mr.joester and Mr. Zeppeli? Here I'll read Mom's letter to us."

After reading the letter and venting to his dead brother's grave, he said his farewells and headed back home. Once back home, he stared at the painting of his mother that was placed on the wall, by the stairs.

"I get it, mom, don't worry, I won't be like Dio."
