Akiri's POV

Where do dogs go when they die? A better question would be where do canines go when they die?

Some say hell, some say heaven and some say to a place unknown to any human being. But where do they actually go?

People say the creation of dogs were karma for bad things they did in their past life. So to amend their misdeeds they would have to live 99 lives as a dog.

I don't believe that. I believe in fate. Each dog was born because of fate. They were born for a certain purpose, just like every other life on earth. The life of a dog isn't a punishment, it's another way to see the world.

I don't think dogs go anywhere when they die. I think that each and every dog is reborn, given another chance in life. However, with that new chance in life they were given the ability to be different. The dogs would have the ability to transform in a human and vice-versa. Along with that they would have super strength and an ability of their own depending on who they are. Many people told me that I was crazy for believing so, but I still believe it no matter what. The reason why I had to believe that is because of my dogs. I want them to have a second chance in life. Their life was cut too short.

Growing up I had five dogs, but they all died. I loved each and everyone of them.

Teskay was my first dog. I got him when I was four. He was a golden retriever. Teskay was the hyper-active type of dog. He always played around without a care in the world. Over the time I kept him he was always jumpy and always running around. Along with that he was a trickster too. A year later he died, and I missed him and his cheerfulness.

Minoro and Minara was a twin of Pomeranians I got when I was six.

Minoro was a copper orange Pomeranian with a white stomach. He was a very obedient dog. Our commands were always followed by him. He always listened and obeyed. He never went off the path of goodness. Despite being so obedient and nice, Minoro has a tough side when it comes to his sister. He would attack anyone that he thinks that was hurting her.

Minara was a pure white Pomeranian. She was like a princess. Instead of listening to us we had to listen to her. Minara hates getting her feet dirty so she would stay in her bed most of the time. Even though she was bossy she did love me. Whenever I'm troubled she would come over and lick my hand. A year after I got them they both died at the same time.

Right after Minoro and Minara died my parents got me Kana. She was a King Charles Spaniel. Kana was smaller than the average spaniel and she was a mixture of brown and white. Unlike any other dogs, Kana was the bad one. She wouldn't listen to anyone and would only do things her way. Kana had a bad temper; she would bite people, attacked others so she was considered a bully. She died a year later.

I love all four of them despite all of them having different personalities. But the one I love most is not among those four. It was Akito.

When I was ten I met Akito. That day it was raining really hard and I was walking home from school. On the side of the street I saw three large black bags of trash and it was moving. Curiousity took over and I went over to look. There I saw Akito. He was soaking wet and he had many cuts on his body. Blood was mixed into his fur. He was either shivering because he was cold or he was afraid. When I tried to touch him he bit me and wouldn't let go. However, after a while he did. He resented me picking him up and carrying him home, but I had no choice. I couldn't just leave him there.

Mom and Dad weren't home when I brought Akito back with me. I washed him in the bathtub but he kept jumping out. It was difficult managing him, but I did. Then I dried him up with a towel. When I was washing and drying him I was careful of his wounds. He avoided looking in my direction. Akito was a grayish white huskies about a couple months old.
