quelque part de nouveau
Hogwarts classes start up two days after Ilvermorny, so we thankfully didn't miss their first day. Today would be all about moving in, and settling back into our dorms.
I still can't believe that Ruby and I got expelled from school on our first day back. I mean it sounds like us, but it's still a lot to take in. At least we have kind of have a second chance, let alone at a brand new school.
The train ride from Kings Cross Station to Hogwarts is around 8 hours, so the students need to board the train the night before at 12 am, to ensure their arrival at around 8 am.
Since the time zones are much different in the UK and in America, it was already midnight.
Our compartment was next to a short blonde girl whos name I think was Hannah Abbott, from what I heard in their conversations since they were a bit loud, and a few others.
Since it was late, many of the students were asleep, aside from Hannah's compartment.
Ruby was busy reading a book, and I was bored. I would read my book, but I'm too tired to grab it from the overhead. So I decided to just reflect on the day Ruby and I just had.
While reflecting, I remembered this boy that I saw while boarding. He had wavy brown hair and piercing green eyes. He was beautiful, to say the least. We made eye contact for about 2 seconds before I broke it by being too nervous, of course. While replaying our eyes locking in my mind over and over again, I started to drift off, eventually falling asleep.
=================================
I woke up to the sound of knocking on the door of our compartment. I looked over at Ruby to see if she'd open it but she was passed out. Great.
Through the glass door I see an elderly woman with a cart of a colorful assortment of treats in front of her.
I get up and open the door.
"Anything off of the trolley dear?" she asks sweetly.
"What are my options?"
The woman goes on to explain a few of the treats on the trolley.
"Could I have one chocolate frog please?"
"Sure! That'd be five sickles." she looks over at Ruby, still knocked out "Anything for your friend?"
I lean over and nudge Ruby, causing a groan and an unconscious "What?" in response.
"Do you want any treats or candy?" I asked, not sure if there would be an answer to my question.
"Hmph!" she replied, shaking her head and turning it to the other side. I turn back to the woman.
"Make that two chocolate frogs." I know if I don't get her one, she'd be mad later on, and mad Ruby is actually terrifying.
