LOS FELIZ HIGHSCHOOL , L.A.

Julie and Flynn entered the music room.
Everyone was playing their music piece. Now it was time for Julie's.
You could see how nervous she was. Not playing for a whole year didn't really help. She sat behind the precious keys of the piano. She tried to touch the keys, but she flinched away from them. Like they are hurting her. Which they are. The memories start flooding in her mind. Every single thought rushed through her mind. Until she couldn't take it anymore. She stood up.
"I'm sorry." You could tell Miss Harrison felt bad for Julie. Everyone knows how amazingly talented the girl is.
"Is this when we clap?" Carrie asked in a sweet tone, but we all knew better.

"Julie! Girl, get back out there." Flynn stood above the stairs looking down at Julie.
"I can't. Every time I think about music, I think about mom." Julie starts sobbing.
"Can you at least try? You know this is important for both of us." Flynn knew it was useless. She knew well enough she wouldn't play anytime soon.
"I've been trying. I've been trying for dad, I've been trying for you, I've been trying for Miss Harrison and I've been trying for mom. For a whole year, I've been trying. I can't do this anymore." Julie starts crying and ran off. Leaving Flynn alone on the stairs. Sobbing. It felt like she lost her best friend. Maybe it was true, or maybe she just needed to wake up.

"Emily! It's time for school!" Julie called from down the stairs of their beautiful home.
"Coming." Julie walks to the kitchen where Luke is making breakfast.
"Oh so now we can cook too?" Julie chuckles.
"Yeah, I want the best for my lovely family." Luke turns off the stove and sets breakfast on the table.
"You know, I still can't believe after we played the Orpheum in 2020, we came back to life. You think maybe we should tell Emily?" Julie nods. It's been hard for both of them. Explaining to your 16-year-old daughter that your dad was a ghost once, isn't really simple as it sounds.
"Yeah, it's time. But maybe after school? She has a big English test."
Luke nods. With Emily coming into the kitchen, she holds her notebook and looks at some songs she wrote.
"Emily, sweety. No songs at the table right now, you know that."
She nods. She gets her English book and looked at her notes, with Julie looking over her shoulder.
"Haha! Luke! She has your handwriting." Luke scoffs.
"Hey, my handwriting wasn't THAT bad."
"Yes, it is." Emily spoke.
"Hey!" Both Julie and Emily chuckled.
Emily's phone began ringing and she looked at her dad.
"No. No phone at the table."
"No songs and no phone? Dad, c'mon this isn't the 90's."
"I didn't even have a phone when I was your ag-" Luke stopped his sentence until he realised what he said.
"What do you mean? You are only 2 years older than mom."
"Euhm. I'll explain after school, you just focus on your English test. Cause I've heard if your grades slip, mom's is going to pull the plug, Ems."
"I know, I know."
"Now, do you need a ride to school?" Julie suggests taking her keys.
"No thanks I'm walking to school with-" She was interrupted by the front door opening.
"Hey, underachiever!" Emily stood up.
"Hey, disappointment!" Emily and Julianna hugged.
"Did your mom taught you that? Cause we used to do that all the time when we were your age."
"Haha, yeah she told me."
"Hey, underachiever." Flynn walked into the house as well.
"Hey, disappointment."
