"Lucky! Lucky where's your mom?!" James Mackreides called from his current position on the steel lookout of Mana One.

Lucky Springs, a small eight year old boy was looking out into the vast ocean of the Pacific with a visible smirk on his lips

Lucky didn't answer, he just pointed out to the clear blue water.

Mac came to stand beside the small boy, folding his hands together as he leaned himself against the metal railing

"Why are you asking?" Lucky asked, his voice may have been young and innocent but he grinned to himself at the thought of why Mac may have been asking for his mom.

Lucky had been living at Mana One for six years with his mom, marine biologist and ex shark wrangler Monica Springs.

Mac had been working there for a while before Monica came along with her young son, since Dr. Zhang recruited her due to the ridicules amount of knowledge on deep sea life she'd gained in just a few short years and her close friendship with his daughter Suyin.

Even at such a young age, Lucky wasn't stupid to the blindingly obvious fact that Mac had a mega crush on his mom

Mac knew he was nearly two decades Monica's senior, but that didn't stop him from fantasizing over her... little did he know that the entire facility knew of his crush, well everyone except Monica.

His coworkers would snicker and joke behind his back when he'd speak with Monica

He'd normally forget what he was saying and just start smiling at her like an idiot... an idiot in love.

"Um..." Mac stuttered, he hadn't planned on telling Lucky why he was asking for her.

"I just, um... I just wanted to ask... if she'd-" the operations manager struggled to find the right words to say to the young boy.

"Are you trying to sleep with her?" Lucky asked couriousily.

Mac looked down sputtering and wide eyed
"Uh... Oh look their's your mom!" Mac exclaimed pointing out to the ocean

The tall slender form of a young woman appeared, arms splashing strongly against the soft ocean waves as she made her way back to the facility.

Monica was about fifty feet away from the facility when the rumble of a helicopter rotor  disturbed the calm waves lapping against one another.

"That'll be Morris" Mac muttered

He tapped a hand against the little boys shoulder
"Stay here, okey buddy" Lucky nodded his head and looked back out to his mom swimming toward them.

The helicopter landed smoothly on the helideck and not a moment later a tall somewhat slightly nerdy looking man stepped out, tossing his bag of belongings to the landing officer who looked confused as to why he'd been given his things.
